Alpine have 2 capable drivers. Aston has a salesman who shepherds the son of wealth lol. I like the Alpine team a bit better LOL
Totally agree BUUUUUT he damaged his car with Tsunoda in the BrazilianGP 2021.....or Tsunoda damaged Stroll's car. Either way it was a racing incident.
Tsnoda was penalized according to the marshals it was not a racing incident and it ruined Stroll’s race. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
And now Force Canada . . . . sorry . . I mean Aston Martin, has to design their car from the ground up. Let's see how that goes.
Lawrence wanted to design his own F1 engine (I wonder why???....he has the cash) BUT Toto advised him not to.
The touring continues but shows no major F1 competitive improvement. Press reported this week, just after signing, Aston offered Bottas double the Alfa offer! So much for Seb as the 'future' the growth etc. They were looking to replace him possibly. Too bad as Stroll could use Bottas as a reference more than Seb. Either way Stroll would most likely lose to Bottas as well. Certainly for Aston his - Bottas experience would be good to have for the Mercedes systems/tech Aston relies on.
Unfair comparison: Tsunado sits in a much better car. Look at what Gasly was able to do with the Alpha Tauri. That's a front of the midfield car. The AM turned out to be the end of the midfield.
Agree with some of your post BUT Yuki made so many rookie mistakes and/or shunts in the 2021 season compared to Stroll.
You just need a couple really good results when the points are that close. Stroll had a much better season compared to last year, yet the points tally isn't there. Again I blame it mostly on the car, which really sucked. As many on here agreed, Lance has greatly improved his driving. He did a lot of passing and fighting this season, not just drive around in circles. While the AM driver pairing isn't strong, the car is currently their biggest issue. They were much more competitive with the MB clone last year than with their own car this year. That tells you that their engineering sucks and that's where papa Stroll needs to pouch engineers away from other teams.
This is just my opinion as I have nothing to base this on but I believe Lawrence Stroll is "egineering" the car (thanks to Toto) and the 2021 floor regs caught Aston off guard hence their poor performance. I blame 40 percent on the car and 60% on the drivers.
