Somehow I have my doubts about the whole thing. What dealership gives up an allocation to a third party, in this case AMG, most likely for an under the table "finders fee" on a very limited vehicle that the dealership has plenty of regular good clients waiting for an opportunity. If the dealer is indeed that greedy, the proper way to screw your customers to to keep the allocation for themselves and when the vehicle comes in title it to the in house leasing Co and then return the vehicle back to the used car inventory so they ask 100% above the original MSRP, or whatever the maximum that the market will bear. Not sure if Ferrari allows dealers to play that game
Ferrari dealers never play games. LOL. Just buy a lusso in order to get a Pista. Ever wonder how Ferrari dealers have brand new, no mileage cars on the showroom floor that are titled so they are sold over msrp? I think Ferrari dealers lead the way with games. Anyway, congrats to AMGUSA for sale #2.
Porsche dealership in my state was doing the same thing earlier this year requiring you to buy a Panamera to get a GT3RS allocation.
I paid MSRP for my 992 Touring. Having stated this, I did buy 3 Porsche's on the same day from the dealer. None of the 3 cars were forced on me and I actually needed to buy them. There are many different ways to skin a cat!
Ferrari dealers can play lots of games ,like with a friend of mine who has an F8 Spider and SF 90 on order. This last spring I was taking to him and he told me he had bot a new Lusso, the dealer had two new 2019 leftovers in stock. So I said didn't know you wanted one of those he replied well I really didn't but the dealer called me up and said to get my SF 90 at sticker I had to buy one of the two Lusso's they had. I thought wow this is a new one on me ,I thought all the new cars had to be sold at sticker, sounds like they were bluffing my friend just to get rid of one of the unsold Lusso's. Gotta luv the games they play right!
AMG is the real deal. They aren't pulling the wool over a customers eyes. They are reputable. Regarding playing the game... There is a much more sophisticated game to be played here and that's what they likely doing.
