I hunted down this exact Colt for over 2 years before finally purchasing it a few years ago but now in retirement need to thin the herd.
Selling off the "Museum pieces" that I dont shoot and a few duplicates.
Its like selling off a limb. :(

Also selling this never arsenal refinished M1A1 in great condition. For some reason the pictures amplify what few imperfections are there.
The gun looks excellent in person.

You don’t need to have “ATF papers” to transfer and purchase. You just need to find NFA dealer in Florida (there are many) and have them transfer the weapon (Form 3) from the NFA dealer in Texas. As soon as you FL NFA dealer receives the weapon, he would process an Form 4 to your name. You complete two form 4s, get two finger print cards, two passport photos, add a check for $200 for the transfer tax fee and send everything into the NFA (National Firearms Act) Branch of the ATF. It will probably take 6 to 10 months to process the Form 4. The wait for process sucks, but worth it.

I'd love to have an M1A1... my dad carried one in the Pacific... Only thing I have now is this, a dummy receiver with everything else real WWII era Savage parts from a "parts kit" I bought years ago. :(
