I’m saying that as discussed in this thread the Purosange is based off of the the same platform as the Roma. Therefore it isn’t a truck and is a crossover.

I agree that it’s based off of a SUV however they’ve tuned it primarily for street performance. There is a warning in the Lambo Ureter owners manual warning against off road usage. Any off-road capability has been lost for its focus on road handling.

These two side by side pictures of the Urus and the DBX mules vs one of the Purosangue mules confirm how low is the ride height of the later. The fact that all the mules that have been spotted until now use a low ride height strongly suggest that Ferrari has been developing a Purosangue that is mainly intended for road performance with a lower center of gravity and less roll-over than any other SUV. Considering that the most advanced air suspensions can lift or lower a vehicle a maximum of around 10 cm (4 inches), even if the Purosangue will be equipped with one of those when lifted to the highest ride height will still be sitting a lot lower to the road than the other SUVs.
Perhaps that's what an FUV is ; a vehicle that combines the external dimensions and the internal volume of a medium size SUV, but where the driver and the passengers site like inside a cross-over, and which can be set when necessary to the ride height of a Sedan for road performance purposes.

The Italian online publication Autoblog is a well informed source and that's what they published to confuse us even more:

    LIKE THE 296 GTB
Indeed, the future Ferrari Purosangue should share the 2.9 V6 twin-turbo petrol engine and the MGU-K electric powertrain with the 296 GTB supercar, to deliver a total of 830 cv (663 cv the combustion engine and 167 cv de electric motor) . In addition, the mechanics will also include the eight-speed DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission and 4WD all-wheel drive.

    NOT ONLY HYBRID PLUG-IN
The new Ferrari Purosangue will be officially unveiled in the course of next year, while marketing should start in 2023. In addition to the Plug-in Hybrid version , the 3.9 V8 supercharged 620 hp and 6.5 V12 naturally aspirated 830 cv engines will also be provided.

The non-hybrid V8 turbo powertrain makes little sense to me in this car.

This mule with a Levante body and a low ride height gives some clues on how the Purosangue might be. If this mule wasn’t coming from Ferrari we would probably imagine that underneath its camouflage will be born a car like the one in the render below. A “Purosangue” that IMO would fit like a glove in the Panamera family but having an Italian touch with a a travestied Ferrari front and a middle and rear sections resembling the Levante.
However, Ferrari isn’t like any other automobile brand and the cars most designed by legendary Pininfarina are the very definition of high performance, glamour, and Italian design. Ferrari does not only live off the credits of the past, the models designed by Flavio Manzoni and his team of designers have also won between 2015 and 2019, 14 awards in the prestigious Red Dot design awards. Ferrari is the first manufacturer in the competition's history to win this Red Dot competition 5 times in a row with the FXX-K, 488 GTB, J50, Portofino and Monza SP1 models.
This unique legacy with so much proven give us reasons to believe that the design of the future Purosangue FUV will be a breakthrough and once more a candidate to winning the Red Dot award.

Puh, I think, I just saw a purosangue mule in person...

I'm located in Stuttgart, Germany and standing there, looking out of my garden, Coffee in my hand, the mule passed.

Full camo it looked very much like the mules in this thread.
Exhaust note was nice and significant, altough I can't estimate the number of cylinders.

It all happened very fast and although i really jumped over the fence, the car dissapeared to fast to take a picture.

Did somebody else spot these mules in south Germany ?

Oh yes, it looks very much like the one I saw, thank you!
This confirms my first impression that it was a purosangue.

Like in the DBX rear this Purosangue mule appears to have strong negative radius below the backlight that gives rise to the prominent spoiler across the tail.

Another interesting thing is that the fabric cover does not have a cutting at the back of the rear door... Indicating it's probably opening toward the front, like and RX8!!!
