This was a show car based on a race car and intentionally extreme but it’s, in my opinion, a great shape that influenced at a minimum the 308 GTB and also the BB—both Fioravanti designs, like the P5. I think it looks great, especially if you imagine seeing this in 1968: Image Unavailable, Please Login
By any chance will the car have a removable hardtop? If you wanted to drive it in less then ideal conditions of course
The 1967 312 F1 motor was rated at 390HP at 10,500 RPM. Half the power but half the weight approximately... They are probably pushing because Ferrari gave them a dummy motor!
Still I don't know the story about why later they reused the same design for Alfa Romeo, but with more conventional front and rear.
Greenwich, Connecticut. I'd pretend I recognise Chinetti's place, but I actually just read the file name
Strange times. This thing will most likely be beaten by 296 GTB from 0 to 200 kph. Soundwise, of course, it will feel totally opposite. It seems like Ferrari intentionally avoids introducing too light models now. Could be that hybrid/electric strategy is affecting the thinking. They obviously don't want to have too big weight gains for next generation models when battery capacities are likely to increase.
WOW WOW WOW Once again we can dream of a beautiful shape with V12 power. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
So, Bianco Italia Opaco will be... any chance of a second unit being presented in Rosso Corsa with white wheels as some of the P5s?
The P5 was presented in pearlescent white, and painted red later on. The interior has also been redone.
It's not so much the car as the photographer's perspective that is wrong. The design was futuristic for this time and had surely some interesting design aspects. But if so, what is the Lockheed A-12 Oxcart (which was developed several years before that) for you... UFO? Image Unavailable, Please Login
