Yes that is 100% true

BUT

More often than not, Hamilton is on the better side of that “game”. Would you not agree that he has had the equipment “edge” for at least a few seasons now?

I’m just happy it’s a close battle. Today was great.

Of course but this year is what I’m referring to. In the past his car was in another stratosphere; this year is pretty even.

LH Has had a big equipment edge since 2014, and MB, when others get close, pull that extra out and pull ahead. This year it’s been back and forth with RB but clearly after today the MB is the faster car.

And here he makes a point. Hamilton gets so much stick these days, when it comes times to actually deliver he delivers.

I even notice it myself this weekend, I saw in real time Hamilton learning from his mistakes, on where to attack, where to overtake, where to maximize any advantage.

It’s a total copout to say, oh, it’s just because he has a faster car. So? A car is still a tool, to be used by an idiot or a master.

Put another F1 driver in the same seat, and 9/10 times I’d say Lewis would come out on top over a race distance. The guy is freaking fast we when he’s on it, and he was today.

It’s telling that Max was imo willing to crash to stop Hamilton’s charge.

Just give the guy the benefit of the doubt for once.

 

Hammy got game! He may have just earned his 8th WDC. Right now might be like when our grandfathers got to witness the greatness of Juan Manuel Fangio.

I disagree.
Bottas shows you what happens when you have a powerful car in the hands of a more average driver.
Bottas starting from last usually stays in the doldrums.

Nobody is saying Hamilton is winning just because of the car. But it’s a FACT that his current engine was a great help last Sunday.

 

Is it possible that the Merc that Hamilton drove at Mexico is not the Merc he drove at Brazil? Better car will be the difference between these two. At Mexico, Hamilton claimed there was nothing he could do with Max's speed at the front. In Brazil, Max said the same about Hamilton's car.

Why can't both be true?

I don't get all this raving about elton's race, hek back in 2006, Michael got almost a lap down after Fisi hit him and blew his tyre...the man, fell almost a lap behind, he passed everyone else and arrived i don't knon 4th, and without drs!!

No one here, at least me, says Hamilton is above MS that Would be blasphemy.
I don’t think Hamilton himself claimed to be the [emoji238], his fans certainly have but not him. He always been a senna fan…
That being said, Schumacher being an all time great don’t prevent Hamilton from having had a great race Sunday which is fun for the championship.
No one should feel insecure about their heroes.
It is not impossible to like f1 and appreciate great drives by any pilots and still prefer, respectfully, one above the other.
