All I know is I know clients who went today, and others flying in on Thursday. And there will be an official announcement and media release by Ferrari at the weekend.
The anticipation is killing me . Judging by the silhouette , stance , and size I'm confident they did this car right. Retro styling is back! Let's go!
I was more excited about the P4, a modern interpretation of the above worries me, hopefully it looks more like the P4 which I know quite well and believe it to be the most beautiful post 50’s race car of the era. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
2022 ferrari calender Image Unavailable, Please Login in 1999 i bought a sticker at my local stationary shop and this p5 was in it among others like maserati boomerang, alfa romeo carabo, dino 206 sp etc. the year 1968 was written with its name under the photo and that time i thought that, definitely it was a printing mistake-this car can not be from 1968 and i convinced myself it was rather a new car. as a kid i had detest for old cars that time. after these years i can still remember the sensation, i felt seeing the car .
Pretty sure it won’t be a literal reinterpretation of the P5, especially as it’s built on the bones of the LaF and will be influenced by aerodynamic requirements. The curious thing, though, is that they are referencing the P5 which was not really a Ferrari model but a Pininfarina design study.
White Ferrari? Strakes? Retro? Let’s go! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cannot wait to see the new Icona...Especially after seeing the disappointing new Countach, Ferrari is giving me high hopes. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like strakes are an important element of the new Icona's design. The six "lines" between NEW and ICONA in the shot above don't seem to be a coincidence.
Damn, I just can't wait to see this new Icona! Considering that the power has slightly increased (850hp) is it possible that the RPM have also a small increase?
Don’t worry your hopes will be answered…this is NOT like the new Countach! Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Just to clear this up as I'm not sure I understood this correctly - will the new Icona be inspired by the 330 P4 or another model from the P-series?
I really hope not! The new edition of the Countach is such an example. Retro design is not a solution! And if you don't believe me, read M. Gandini's press statement.
