I think this is really cool from Ferrari. My guess is that as the Monza SP1 and SP2 Ferrari will pay tribute to several models in one, I will see a tribute P3, P4 and P5. Am I far from the reality? ^^
That's a really interesting way of doing things. Were there any guidelines as to the structure / composition of the name? I'd have gone for '541 P' and been thrown out of the building.
New Icona may not use a carbon tub, and probably something about the new Euro crash requirements, requires strengthening the frame for side/rear impact. https://content.intland.com/blog/europe-on-the-move-safer-vehicles-on-eu-roads-from-2022 Cars and vans will also have to be outfitted with: Advanced emergency braking for pedestrians and cyclists Head impact zone enlargement for pedestrians and cyclists (to include the windscreen area) Side crash protection updates Rear crash protection updates other here: https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32019R2144&rid=4
I would vote for 541 too (as previously mentioned, it’s the volume per cylinder of the 812C engine that is supposed to be on this Icona 2). Something like 541MM, P541, 541SP…
Yep, I can bet the guys from thesupercarblog are ready to snatch an image from here at a moments notice
I used the word “retro styling.” “Inspired by” - word salad at this stage. We have STRAKES. 6 of them. If that’s not “retro styling” I don’t know what is. I’m trying to imagine if they did the rear strakes in carbon. Carbon rear strakes + carbon rear diffuser — I’d faint on the spot.
