Fair question and to the best of my knowledge, it's 25yrs or older. I just pulled an interesting link on the topic, here it is....

Love it and a big mustang guy myself, very rare to see it w/o the traditional black and gold. I think these were corporate cars as opposed to rentals to public??

Rental actually. One of eleven is what I read on the reports. Most had manual also, this one is auto which I dont mind.
I just adore the Grabber, scoops, Shelby logo. Nice historical pieces, and at very good prices relative to what a run of the mill 2009 911 sells for!

If not a classic now, give it 5-10 years.

I fancied a FGT since about 2010, but never actually ended up pressing the button, always finding something else to buy.
After the recent departure of a Scuderia which I had loved for nearly 10 years, my mind started thinking GT again.
I ended up buying one only four months ago, obviously having foolishly waited on the sidelines for 12 months for the values to go through the roof here in the UK .....but I love it.

It's so different to any other car I have driven, although I have never owned an American car before. Its really loud, very firm suspension, super light and accurate gearbox and clutch, massive torque, feels really fast and just a joy to hussle along. It attracts a much more positive response from bystanders than my 488 but it is a very rare car here in the UK. I recently got out of the GT though and straight into the 488....the 488 felt like a S Class Mercedes after the GT, all compliant suspension and very refined.

In terms of performance the GT (which is standard apart from bumper delete and an accufab exhaust) feels quick, and handles well......until you get back in the 488 which then feels like another planet in terms of handling and acceleration.
Very different cars though, both wonderful, and it's the GT keys that get grabbed by me the most at the moment.

The biggest down side is an almost total lack of luggage capacity....but I have started looking at courier services for a suitcase for Euro trips assuming I have a passenger.
Le Mans here we come !

Thanks, I consider that generation of FGT the most American car ever....in all the good ways, so I wonder how that translates to other parts of the world.

But it is surprisingly very easy to drive. I have alot of mods on mine so it is faster and handles better than a stock car. Like you said, it is received well by the public.

Moton 3 way adjustable. It really grips the road (so the rear end doesn't step out much unless you want it to), and the ride is less bouncy. I don't know if KW does them, but another well recommended brand is Ahlman.

Yes, in 2019 I almost bought a 24k mile Arena Red one for $130k....had no idea at the time it would be my last opportunity to buy one.

Had this for about a decade. The handling is amazing. It attracts more interest at car shows than the 458 does. Sorry to dispel the myth about reliability but it turns out if you take care of them they are actually very reliable.
