Interesting to hear they haven’t decided on a name. Probably similar to the 812C reveal where the car was labeled the 812 Version Speciale in the initial press release with the official name being released a few weeks later. I would bet we won’t find out the name this weekend.

Can’t remember the last time I was this excited for a new car. Tomorrow can’t come soon enough!

Unveiling is in less than 24 hours and we still don’t know « anything »: no name no picture no sketch no official technical data no numbers…

Once again, and after the 812C/CA and the 296 GTB, Ferrari sho again that they perfectly know how to make us wait and how to keep the secret until the unveiling. Congrats Ferrari!

Can someone at least tell us how close the masked Icona is to the unmasked Icona? Scale of 1 - 10?

What always impresses me is they manage to film the cars on track and even then no leaks, unless it's all cgi.

They film on test track facilities with no vantage points. I believe they used the same one in Spain for quite a few models (LaF, F12, 458 Speciale, F8 that I can recall?)

Dinner and debut starts in 16 hours / 7 pm in Italy. Cant imagine the car would be unveiled at 7 pm but some lengthy time after….remember Italy and their dinners…

I understand media has already been shown the car so they might start releasing photos sometime around then…but don’t hold me to that.

Usually they reveal the car before dinner so you can talk about the car while having dinner with your friends: they did this with the SF90. I think that starting from this late evening everyone will be able to see the car on the media, more or less starting from 8.00 P.M. Italian time (now here in Italy it's 11.20 AM).

I hope to see the car in person tomorrow.

    ciao

It was the same thing with the Monza SP1/2. First pics in this forum on 17th September 2018 shortly after the official reveiling. Before there was absolutely nothing to see, not a glimpse of the unmasked car... as far as I remember. I wish Ferrari would have done such successful work in Formula 1 as in its marketing. But selling seems to be much more important to them than winning, unfortunately!
The success of models like the 330 P4 did not come from marketing, but from real races and victories. The Legends (330 P4, 250 GTO, 250LM), were born at THIS Place (and not at evening an dinner)...

Whether they win or not, people buy anyway, d or this sentence which remained in my memory "we capitalize on the badge".
They wanted to make Ferrari a luxury brand and no longer a sports car.
How many Iconas will have more than 2000 km on the clock over their entire life ?

Well, maybe not in F1, but this year was pretty successful for them in the WEC (in both Pro and Am categories plus a 24hrs of Le Mans class victory)..and the cars you mentioned were endurance legends.

I think it was their own decision to give Formula 1 absolute priority (and not mine). Then they should be very successful EXACTLY there.
Thirteen years without a title in Formula 1? That is rather embarrassing and no need to celebrate.

And that's a shame too. Cars that nobody sees and only stand in collector's garages or houses converted for these cars...
It's like art that nobody shall see.

they're working hard for 2022 F1 season, wich have totally different rules. This year they haven't made particular efforts in develping the car because developments are largely blocked by current rules, and in any case in view of next year epochal change it would have been a waste of time and resources...

Consider how many other current teams have won a championship in the last 13 years. I’d say 2.
