What a nice color! Even better under the sun isn’t it? Milky smooth and also pops up the shapes too. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Thank you! Yes, under the sun it gets significantly lighter. Yes, no metallic in it at all. Just a flat gloss grey. I think the closest description would be a battleship grey as in certain shadows it as a hint of greenish blue undertones, but definitely grey. It was an Extracompanario color that I believe falls under the historical category as it has been around. Wanted to do something different. For reference within Ferrari, definitely lighter than Grigio Scuro which is more widely known, but not as light as Grigio Squalo (tailor made color), hence “Medio” - medium. Outside of Ferrari - close to Nardo Grey from Audi, not quite as light, but definitely lighter than Lamborghini’s Grigio Telesto.
Thank you. Quite a while ago for the Spider, since the Spider was going to take longer and I sold my 720s Spider sooner than I thought I would, I went ahead and ordered the SF90 Stradale as a car to enjoy before the Spider arrives. I’m guessing, but I suppose it was early this year that I ordered the coupe. It was built June/July, on the water all of August, sat at port for over 5 weeks for all of September and early October - yet arrived as a 2022 model. It was almost as if Ferrari anticipated the delivery and called it a 2022 rather than a 2021. In my experience, all cars built pre August Holiday are the current calendar year, everything in September forward is the next calendar year. Perhaps something is different now with the pandemic.
Thank you. No, I went Viola Hong Kong with the Spider. Pic of the color below… Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is the best grey out there. No other color from Ferrari or other makers can match this. I had one before. Now I mainly do nero daytona or white for my cars but if I would do grey again this is what it will be. Congrats and it suits the car. Great looking. Also SF90 is very very very good car. You will love it! Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Haha, thanks man - just when you think it’s not uploading photos it uploads a few of them twice. Looking forward to seeing you soon, perhaps when we head up to the dealership to put the final Porto M spec in we can grab lunch. As an aside, we’ve definitely got to plan to do the Corsa Piloti in Maranello at Fiorano in the next few years. Happy holidays to you and yours.
To me the late model Ferraris are a dogs breakfast visually. Whatever happened to the outstanding designers at Pininfarina and the other design houses? Their current offerings look like they belong in a video game. Let's get back to elegance and grace such as: Image Unavailable, Please Login
We don’t typically ask that sort of thing here. It’s for cars and to enjoy our mutual interest. Many are private. People who want to talk business do so in the specific business and investment section.
