Hello Brethren - Had a great chat with Mase Engineering earlier today about tuning our cars (360/430). He himself is actually a 430 owner and enthusiast. If we can get some members together we can organize a group buy. Ping me if interested. We need this done before the new years if we want the best deal, as rates along with everything else in the economy is going up. We should be able to get at least 10% off maybe more depending on the number of people.

I highly suggest you reach out to @360trev if you plan on having your 360/430 tuned. I’m convinced no one out there can do it better (safer)!

Extremely true statement. I would not trust anyone else

Furthermore for the folks in California the CARB now has upgraded the smog test software to detect any changes to the original factory software which if detected will fail the smog test

Well given how many cars I see without cats (including Ferraris) and tuned i can guarantee you that for $500 there are illegal places that will magically pass you smog.

You can always just flash back to stock software, even though it is a bit inconvenient to send the ECUs out. Alternatively could just buy a second set of ECUs and have those ready to go for easy swap in when needed.

Or you could register your car in Montana and forget the whole smog test thing.

    Fully understand.

Don't know how one gets around this new software through since it connects directly to the OBDII port.

When the sniffer device was used I know of a specific instant where the sniffer was put into a "loaner" car.

I just do not see how one gets around it at smog stations today

I've a couple of spare 360 ecu's (and a spare 430 ecu for that matter) if anyone wants to have a set to retain their stock firmware.

Until I actually go and have them look at it which coming from trev its US firmware and is technically CS tune. Dealers do reflash all the time. So I kinda don't buy all this crap but there is otherwise around it

maybe clean512 you won't have any issues

I don't know anyone yet to confront this issue at a smog test so who knows

could be that a CS tune won't cause any issues

360Trev did my tune. According to him the torque curve begins around 3000, but torque is near 300 at 3500rpm and is linear through the powerband. Total HP is slightly over the Scud. I'll need to get mine Dyno'd to see the results with my set up.

    Hello everyone,

Thanks to all the amazing comments from supporters, it doesn't go unnoticed and I thank you for putting your trust in me!

For a while now I have been developing a truly unique in the market '599 GTO Inspired' upgrade to the F430's which changes significantly the personality of the F430 in the same vein as the 599 GTB went to the 599 GTO. This really is akin to a 'frontal lobotomy', makes the car feel sensational and absolutely bonkers but in a very good way :) Totally different than just 'more power' alone. This isn't just about peak power its about how it drives at any rpm and how it responds to your driver inputs and how it makes you feel. I'm certain I have put more significantly more development R&D effort into this now than anyone else out there (including a lot of dyno testing hours too) and I'm exited to bring this to a wider audience very soon now.

Also just wanted to add that soon I will be releasing some exciting stuff into the public domain too FREE!

My new software and information will to allow F430 owners to backup their entire engine firmware (and just as importantly) all their car specific data such as immobilizer information into the cloud. This service will be completely free of charge so you can revert and restore your stock firmware or tuned state yourself without any 3rd parties. More information coming soon!

At some point you'll also be able to use these new features to activate (just like a factory SD3) all the built in factory diagnostic tests too plus extensive data logging will also come online. Lots to exciting stuff to look forward too.

Whatever you guys decide to do I wish you all the best with it and hope my contributions to the community also force everyone else to 'up their game' too :)

What your talking about is a feature which was part of SAE J1979 which deals with a CVN (Calculation of Calibration verification number).

I can confirm this feature was not present in ANY 360's, I've not seen it in the F430's (at least pre-2008's), I'm going to look at later spec firmware and report back the news. Technically it was supposed to be supported from 2005+ but not all car manufacturers got there in time and its why if your dealer offers a 'free' upgrade to later spec you should think twice, at least not until you've backed up your original firmware that came with the car so you can at least revert back if you wanted...
