    Hello Ferrari Chat!

As many of you may know, we have spent quite some time intimately with the various modern McLaren platforms having achieved first 8 second McLaren, first 9 second McLaren, and first tuned M840T (720S motor), but once we met our first 488, it was love at first drive and knew that it was something special.

With having tuned well over 200 F154 variants over the years, we were confident the F8 would deliver that experience than we’re used to and naturally we had to have one! Once released, our 488 was joined by our 2020 F8 Tributo and as you can imagine, development started immediately!

I’ve been seeing your work on instagram. The F8 sounds insane.

Do you offer any assurances for reliability of your tunes?

With anything performance related, as you know, it's at your own risk and mechanical failure can also occur at OEM spec. With that said, we tune thousands of vehicles per year, of which a large number are exotics.

I wouldn't personally do business with DME if they were the last tuning company on Earth. Just my opinion

    They don't. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/blown-up-turbo.648491/

I wouldn't go anywhere near that kind of power increase. Those turbos were designed for what they are doing in stock form. Adding over 30% of power is just asking for trouble. Leave it alone if you want a nice driving car. The gearbox is not rated for that kind of power either.

Sorry you feel this way. I reached out to you via PM to see what happened, but haven’t heard back from you. Would love to resolve any sort of error that has occurred.

Correct, the turbos are the weak point of this motor unfortunately. Stock cars are having failures as well. Sure, having a tune will be easier for a dealer to not want to warranty it, but I’d imagine it’s dealer dependent. Ultimately, if you’re going to be pushing the car and its limits its a good idea to go with Pure’s upgraded options.

Yep… if doing power upgrades you need to get with Pure and upgrade the turbo’s.

And the rest of the fuel system. Have seen cars on that power level that has fueling issues, and thus surge at the top end. An easy way to melt a piston.

You'd need to replace turbos, injectors and the fuel pump to get that much power reliable. Over time, inconel exhaust valves are needed too.

I'm sorry, but again it seems like you don't provide a lot of info. You may not think so, but we are a few here that knows about this stuff, and we will ask questions. It would be nice again to get some basic parameters on the dyno test. Like with the 812, you don't show any data. No temps, no correction factor or anything. I would think EGT's, cooling temps, a fuel pressure curve and injector duty cycle stats would be nice.
