Those pics were taken from the backyard of my old house decades ago. It was setting behind Tim Stanford's shop and I was looking to buy a window glass from it. I asked Tim, how much for the whole car? The price was right so I towed it back home on a two wheel dolly. Wired the Dino's rear lights to my 1977 Chevy Luv and they worked! Had no engine/transaxle. Everything was bent on that car. I took everything off of it that would come loose. Sold what was left of it to a fellow in California. Was on the east coast for a while and then off to Europe. Lot of work and money went in to that car. Glad it was saved.

The car went to Eurospares Tony and was stripped of salvageable parts hence why it's drivetrain is now in #07520. I doubt that #07404 exists as such any longer but if that chassis number ever pops up this thread will be of use to somebody.

This is Eurospares ppage on it confirming it has been broken for spares https://www.eurospares.co.uk/cars-breaking-for-spares/car/109

Wow that is a sobering image and shows how far crash protection has come. Do you think they would have survived if there had been a roll cage in place? These beautiful cars will no doubt come off second best in a crash with a modern car but I wonder how much a cage would mitigate things.

Ken, i doubt it or it would have to be something substantial. The ladder frame main chassis is strong as hell but the bodywork construction is basically thin gauge baked bean tins!

This is another view of the car
