    Hi everyone,
which is your favourite decade about Ferrari's design?
Express your vote, and please don't underrate the 20s; it is our contemporary decade and, at the moment, it counts only 2 years, but what years full of models: Roma, 812 Competizione, 296GTB, Daytona SP3, SF90 Stradale!
    Enjoy!

I´m not a big fan of the recent designs. I prefer the 60s, 70s and 80s. I voted the 70s, as it is in the middle.

For me, the Enzo is the last beautiful Ferrari, but that ist personal opinion.

    Most beautiful Spyder: 250 California
    Most beautiful Coupe: 288 GTO
    Most beautiful Targa: Dino GTS

But this just ist personal preference.

I also vote for the 60s, even though I’m a child of the 80s and own a 328. Newer models are amazing but I’m less enthusiastic about the design.

Hands down the 60’s. Completely original and serve as the basis of inspiration for almost everything after. 80s IMO would be second.

Todays designs are just a modern rehash on the classics from the 60’s.

The best part of the older years is they were drawn by hand, engineered on a drafting table by hand, modeled by hand, manufactured by hand, painted by hand and driven by hand. Pure and simple. Art.

    ‘60s for sure but I think ‘90s was the best of the last 50 years. 355, 360, 550, 456, F50

Today’s designs start from a baseline of what government authorities require and allow. All else flows from that, which creates a very specific design envelope into which a vehicle must fit. There is no longer a “clean sheet of paper” and has not been for years. No Ferrari designed today can compare with a 275GTB, a Lusso, a Dino, a Superfast or a PF Cabriolet for sheer beauty and drama.

Its too easy to vote 60s, so i left that obvious answer out, and voted the next best, which is the 90s imo

60s are ruled out because the basic design of the 308 was done in the 70s, and while i think the 288gto is the best looking road car of all time, thats not enough to win the 80s.

70s stood a chance but the 90s just edged it out with the 550, 355 and 360.

Nothing past the 90s stands a chance. Mostly garbage imo.

Current Ferraris are very striking but they’re not beautiful, I used to say that about Lamborghinis but I guess now it’s true for Ferraris as well.

1950s because it was the peak of haute couture coachbuilding. One offs or limited series by Pininfarina, Vignale, Zagato, Boano, etc.

    As for modern Ferrari's, meh...

And that applies to almost every manufacturer. AC Cobra, Ford GT40 and Mustang, Chevy Camaro and Corvette, Lamborghini Miura, Aston Martin DB5, Toyota 2000GT, Datsun Fairlady Z (1969 debut), etc.

I will take the bait, as a certified Ferrari dinosaur I still believe that the mid fifties produced the purest designs before all the exotic aerodynamics came into play. Sergio Scaglietti was a true artisan, I herewith submit two of my favorite shots of my old car. Remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and no two people have the same vision.

    Best regards,

    Robert

The late 40's and 50's cars are the father of all Ferrari's.
And the father of all Ferrari design.
They evoked the passion, the skills of men who built everything by hand with feeling and purpose.
