I went to the ANSA straight forward. More exotic options might be a problem with MOT here in Switzerland

Btw - I wont throw the original away inmediately. But as my car wont be ever concours level I will not keep that muffler forever.
So if anyone is interested on it please let me know

I am confused. You had a car with catalytic converter?

Also, what do you mean by ANSA straight forward? And, where did you find it?

Early 308s dont have catalytic converter.

I mean I made the decision on ANSA instead of other options, no brainer for me as Switzerland MOT is very strict. They want to see period correct stuff on the cars

Did you find the OEM slotted screen did not fit the ANSA???

That's very rare to even see it on a Euro car it's a 1977 specific part.
Mine is off while a replacement is fabricated, to fit the ANSA system.

The correct 77 mufflers are hard to find today. I wish I had kept the one I had. They exit from UNDER the exhaust tips too which is kind of fake looking. You should let a good early 308 owner get it at reasonable price with the grill. But like you said only good for a concourse car.

Hi hi. I knew it doesnt fit with ANSA thanks to your earlier posts, so I told to the mechanic to dont even try . I will keep it of course, together the originals oil cooler and fuel pump.

Just to finish with the whole story, I recovered the screen from the shop last week.

Here it is, all original and never repainted.

Ill keep it of course unless someone has an undergoing Concours project and needs it.

    Warm Regards
