Although if I understand correctly, one does not have to 'make' the design in the metal, only to create the digital image, and thats what you 'buy', to make your astronomical profits!

Curiosity got the better of me and I had to find out what the coefficient of drag (Cd) was. Very impressive! Schlör, an engineer for Krauss Maffei of Munich, proposed an ultra-low drag coefficient body as early as 1936.[2] Under Schlör's supervision at the AVA (an Aerodynamic testing institute in Göttingen) a model was built.[3]Subsequent wind tunnel tests yielded an extraordinarily low[3] drag coefficient of 0.113.[1] For a functioning model, a Mercedes-Benz 170H chassis,[1] one of their few rear-engine designs, was used. The aluminum body was built by the Ludewig Brothers of Essen. Subsequent tests of the motorized model showed a slightly higher but still impressive drag coefficient of 0.186.[2]
I could get into a lot of trouble with that capability.......prolly have to disable it most of the time.....or have an FChat mod scrub it before posting....

Caption says its a Buick ..... I think it got way too close to an Infiniti somewhere in the rendering software...... Image Unavailable, Please Login It comes from a Shanghai design studio, aimed squarely at Chinese buyers....... Is Buick on its way to become a Chinese brand ? And there's one giveaway to know its no longer an American Buick........
GM Design has a specific studio in China that does Buicks & Cadillacs. This probably came from there. No portholes?

Just think, you could send messages to the vehicle behind you![/QUOTE] Hmmm....; I imagine that could occasionally go badly wrong -
Hard to imagine BMW design getting any worse; but they do seem to find a way... I can usually find something in any design that is at least interesting. This is very, very bad. It might actually look better after an enormous accident...
Hemmings article about similar car designs. No sooner had I posted these photos, The Autoextremist had this to say about the BMW. Editor-in-Chief's Note: From the sublime Ferrari Daytona SP3 to... this. I see BMW designers are pushing their "Gaping Maw" design language to ridiculous extremes, because, well, why not? No one seems to care anyway. Yes, I know this is a "concept," but who's kidding whom here? You know this will basically be it. I will say this much for it, the interior is scrumptious. So, there's that. And so it goes. -PMD
