1. Glove box was stuck, used a credit card to get it to open, but now it won’t stay shut. Any tips or tricks? 2. What do these buttons do? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not sure what you mean by "stuck". Did you operate the glove box switch and that was not sufficient to cause the door to open? In my car when the happens I just give the door a polite whack with my hand. That's simply because there is a little pressure pushing the door against the latch, and that pressure causes more friction than the latch solenoid can overcome. I could probably fix this with some lubricant. Your credit card operation may have pushed the latch down into the door or something. Try looking at it while operating the switch to determine if the latch tongue is moving. I don't recall that there is anything mysterious about how the latch works. The two switches allow you to set the distribution of air between face level and foot level. The horizontal bar graphs display the degree of distribution. The latter is covered in the "technical manual" or whatever they call what they supplied as a user manual. If you don't have one I recommend getting one.
Thanks. The switch works. Just seemed it needed a little help to open. I didn’t open it close to the latch. Just needed some help being pulled down. Will try the bottom smack going forward (if I can get it to shut again) And thanks for details on the switches. Any known source for an electronic version of the technical manual?
Yahoo will not accept that email. Is it incomplete? Should it have a .com on the end? I put a .com on the end and it was accepted. Maybe you got it, maybe you didn't.
I just noticed the one I sent was not a US version. I just sent a 91 US version that is the same as 90. There are a few small variations between US and non US cars.
