This week has been of great activity in the testing of the Purosangue with three different types of mules spotted around Maranello. A black mule seen for the first time, a lifted GTC4 mule different from the ones seen before and finally the mule with the Levante body shown in the pictures below.

    Why?
Thirty years ago Ferrari produced 5,000 cars a year.
Today, with globalization and the proliferation of millionaires, it will be more like 15,000 cars a year.
The proportions have just grown for the greater benefit of luxury brands.

I really doubt that the Purosangue will be restricted only to loyal customers who already bought brand new Ferrari. Maybe that will be the case for the V12 version, but I don’t see Ferrari limiting the access to their first SUV with the « smaller » engine.

If you read my earlier posts, weeks ago already, that was exactly what I was saying. In the beginning it will be super exclusive and you cannot just walk into the dealership and order/buy one. You have to be a very good, long established top client to get one. And it will be priced above a RR Cullinan as well. And they will not produce 10'000 or so, not at all. The goal is to be super exclusive and certainly the bar will be raised.

Yes, as you say ‘in the beginning’ until they have sold the first batch of top spec cars (V12s?) then release a smaller engined V6/V8 version which is around 300k and sell it to anyone who wants it……I doubt there will ultimately be any exclusivity.

What an awful looking thing. Sad.

I should hope that you cannot just walk into a dealership and buy one. Your friends should take measures to stop you.

That matches what I heard from a Ferrari executive. Very exclusive, very upmarket and demand is already off the charts. This will be sold out the moment it is launched.

My comments are based on the artist impression in the earlier post on the page (which might even be better looking than the real thing).

Heritage and connection to the past sells a lot of Ferraris. The lack of any connection to its heritage makes this project so obvious as a cash grab. Sad.

So much to say on the subject, that I don't even know what to say ...
I imagine FUVs in the midst of Ferrari rallies and events, and, putting together a lot of elements there is only one thing that comes to mind: LCDM Ferrari miss you a lot !
The temple is well cracked, and after 2025 the foundations could well collapse ...
And you know what, that will be "sadly" a good news...

I feel like you can really start to get a feel for the final product, assuming this is it and it’s not overly padded. The front looks very Roma like on the hood with the contours. The side profile above actually looks pretty good to me…especially given some of the renderings that looked pretty awful. Time will tell.

So … Ferrari will go out of business by selling thousands of $400k+ vehicles per year? By adding $1b or more in revenue … this will somehow hurt them? The 700 people who are dropping $2m+ on the SP3, before even seeing the vehicle or even the specs … next time they will say “no thanks” to the SP4 because Ferrari now makes an SUV? The GT3 is perennially a brilliant drivers car … the
GT4RS looks like a historical performer … neither would exist if not for the Cayenne … Porsche might not exist …

I just don’t understand the doom and gloom prophecies because Ferrari is choosing to capitalize and possibly dominate a red hot market segment which will then allow them more free cash flow to reinvest in their performance models. Seems silly to me.

The Ferrari FUV has been chronically underestimated since it was rumored to be in the works. Ferrari are not going to embarrass themselves here. This product will confound the naysayers and deliver a category leader. What are the haters going to say when it starts putting down faster lap times at Fiorano than what’s in their garage? Case in point, Ferrari has performed an engineering miracle on the body roll of this vehicle. It seems to be less than some of their recent GT cars …

    V12 limited to 1000-2000? V8/V6 limited to 3000-4000?

    I think the MRSP of V12 is $ 400,000,
