F8 Order Status

The dealer has no ability to change an order from 10G to 10R, the factory does that.

However, to "get to" 10R requires your full order be submitted..

sorry to hear of your order's delay (when Alex left that actually caused some issues because he was the one who did most of the factory order entry...)

since the orders are closed you are in a select group, congrats

 

He said he is 10G, he's good, 10G status means the factory has provided the allocation and accepted the order and will build the car

moving to 10R requires the dealer to submit the full order (i.e. all options,etc)

 

Gone to 10R here in NZ with VIN assigned and available on the app. Deposit paid towards end of July if i remember correctly. Getting closer

I Sure wish everyone well with your orders. I still have along way to go. Still interesting to hear from everyone involved with these glitching orders from all over. I might even out longer with all of these issues coming down. Shipping, Trucking, Port of entry clogs. Hope U get your cars soon.

I asked the same question to my dealer in Florida a couple of hours ago, he told me 15K

 

It was $16,190 to fly my 812, which was like 2.5% of the MSRP on the car. Totally worth every penny, and not even that big of a cost. If I'm laying out $500k for a car, an extra $16k certainly shouldn't be breaking the bank, especially if I can skip 2 months or more of wait time.

 

I was just advised my F8 Spider exited paint and I'm at status 30

 

Hello! First Ferrari (on order), and new to the group. My vin showed up on the App about ten days ago, does that mean it's 10R? I'm in the midwest, any ideas on timing from that point? I'm actually loving every bit of the process, so definitely not tapping my foot here, I feel very fortunate to have gotten an allocation in the first place. Of course, I'm super excited for the car, so I'd love to hear any thoughts to help pass the time. Thanks!

 

Best to ask your sales rep what the current status is. VIN can be assigned at 10G I believe? But you will for sure have a vin by the time it’s into production.

Probably 2 weeks or so. The car is most likely farther along than you think.

My car went status 90 on 11/23. Not sure if it’s on OOCL Europe or Chicago Express, but I’m keeping track of both. Either way should land in NY sometime mid December!

If you have it air freighted your sales rep should get a ‘will be completed by’ date. For my 812 it was about 1.5 weeks from completed by date to at the airport in June/July 2020. It’s nice getting a text from my dealer one morning saying the car has its boarding pass, to waking up the next morning with a picture of the car at the dealership.

I’m not sure if all cars fly from Milan, but that’s where my 812 flew out off.

 

Thanks!!, I'm very excited and have loved every bit of the experience. I'll definitely ask him about the status code. More important to me than that though, is what people here have seen regarding the time gap between seeing their vin pop up on the App, and when they see their car delivered. We've got a new dealer here (I was able to spec the car and put down a deposit before their official Grand Opening), as a result, they wouldn't be able to give me any feedback on this question.

There’s a lot of variables, like where you are located, and how backed up they are in NJ where the cars are offloaded. A friend recently had his car sit in NJ for 2 months waiting for a truck across the country.

 

Very interesting. That must have been a long two months!

 

Hit status 90 a few weeks ago. Received my final photo this morning. Car should arrive in a couple more weeks. It’s going to be a great Christmas this year.
