Those are Campagnolo Ragnos. That design was offered on the 246 Dinos but have not seen them referenced in the 308 parts book. Second only to the Miura wheels for style in my opinion.

Yah I had no idea they were even offered on 308s, but there is a specific note of the wheels being progonal order on the judging sheet from a 2015 concourse. Ill see if I can dig it up when I get the car back from my mechanic

I wasn't aware either, but it was noted that they were original order in a concourse it was in back in 2015 (before bumper shave obviously). The books are with my mechanic but ill see if I can dig up the order sheet when I get the car back

The fact that this detail matters is probabaly both my most and least favorite part of fcars. Hate it cause it's dumb that something so insignificant matters but love it because when something that insignificant matters you know you the cars will be well taken care of.

The Ferrari crowd is NOTHING compared to the Porsche crowd. After years around air cooled P cars, thinking the F crowd must be downright horrible in comparison, I found getting involved with these cars and owners surprisingly refreshing.

You mean paint a car a different color because you enjoy it? Why, do a different color interior because you fancy it?

I love that about this crowd, but it’s blasphemy to the Teutonic types.

    Friends,

The more you are immersed in the beauty and design of what Ferrari really is the more these little details make more sense and become more important. To me the air box nuts is the first sign that someone either cares about their car or doesn’t, the next one is what kind of oil filter used and since this car has the Baldwin filter it automatically gets my seal of approval! It is the simple things that make the engine compartment looks so tidy and nice, such as the correct hard to find straps on the rubber tubes on the airbox and the oil radiator.

Not realy the rught place for this but can't think of a better one. Here is a 75 308 gt4 with a 3.2 qv in it and a host of other upgrades for 50k usd

    https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/cto/d/san-francisco-1975-ferrari-308-gt4/7408989949.html

Don't know if its worth or not from the sparse pics but certainly worth looking into for anyone in the market. I'd probabaly jump if I didn't already have one (and was already 1 parking spot short....)

I probably posted this before, but if not here are the twins: #409 09212 1974 Euro) & 410 10766 (1975 US).
I play in a heavy metal band "Cirith Ungol". DW drums matched the color of the 74 which is Rosso Chiaro.
I used to be able to post higher resolution photos to this site....

Very nice, Robert! It's interesting that the two cars have antennas on opposite sides.

    Rich,

I have been collecting the light up signs for years, One Dino sign I got from a 246 Dino guy here on the list not visible, the other I picked up along the way! The big Ferrari sign was supposedly at Luigi Chinetti's dealership in NY. I have ran out of wall space or would get more! ha

Still receiving the final quote so I'd say a few months. Then it'll go straight to a good local shop for a once over. Hopefully all will align in time for when the snow has melted and salt is gone and I can put some miles on it
