Indeed!!! Wonder if the 4 Rosso on my 456M register that are unidentified by shade are actually this. What a color!! And the interior perfectly compliments it.
Very pretty and I do not think I have seen another one red metallic that light of a shade. Looks like the wife's GLE 450 Cardinal Red color.

Whenever I mention the color it does seem to promote discussion! This photo is in harsh winter sun. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Congratulations Eric! When you have a chance, I hope you can write an A/B review here. I know I would love to sit and listen. Cheers
Well, folks, just an update. Today I drove down to see the car and drive it. I had already negotiated the sale but really wanted to lay hands on her. Turns out, the car is in even better condition that I had imagined. A good chunk of the money changed hands and the deal is done. Now they do a belt service and some fluid changes and she'll find her way up to New Hampshire. It's a stunning car. And the drive was exhilarating, delightful, and quite different from the 456M. When she gets here and I put a few miles on her, I'll try to write up a description of the differences. They were both trivial and profound. Very interesting considering the two models share time, engine (at least at a basic level they are fundamentally the same) and lots of common componentry and yet can be so divergent in character. Eric- Engine is much, much, stronger than a 456, especially when the air intake changes length at around 6000 rpm. You will enjoy learning to love her. I know where you can get some factory straight center pipes if interested. Just came off 135171 in exchange for an H pipe.
Thanks, Taz. I'll keep the pipe offer active in mind. I could easily feel the increase in power. I didn't much get the chance to stretch her legs bombing around the access boulevards of a Long Island industrial park. Not what one would call a representative road test but it is what is available there. There were also a whole raft of perceptual differences. This is going to really enjoyable. My biggest concern is dried out seals and such. The car has apparently only done 150 miles in the last 5 years. I suspect I'll have a few re-commissioning pains and events but then all will be well.
I first posted about buying ths car back in late August. Part of the deal was doing some delayed maintenance and parts delays then factored in. Long story short, the car, (drum roll), is finally here!! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Really excited for you and frankly excited for us given the amount of valuable commenting you had done in the past on your 456!
