    That’s the flux capacitor. It helps regulate the amount of fluid the turn signals get. . Sorry, I can check the service manual when I get home next week.

    Ah, thank you! I can now sleep at night. Btw, I only noticed this anomaly looking at photos. My car does not have these sensors and I'm bummed because I hear that they are good for at lest 25 more horse power. :D

    Speaking of turn signals, I still haven't gotten used to them being on the steering wheel. I am occasionally reaching for phantom turn signal stalks that aren't there.
