I’m selling my new Stainless Steel Top Speed Pro-1 Headers. They have been Jet-Hot Coated with their 2500 Ultra Top Coat. The headers are first coated with their chrome like finish, inside and out. Then is lightly sanded to except the top coat. Repeat, they are coated inside and out. Basically 4 layers of Jet-Hot. This prevents much of the heat from the engines exhaust from transferring heat to the engine compartment. When I spoke with them inquiring about different processes, the stated this is the best and lowers the emissivity. They stated 85% reduction in heat transfer or emissivity. The Top Coat color is Titanium. They are fitted for air injection. Reason for sale is I am selling my 360 Spider.

The headers cost me $1,200 and the Jet-Hot coating cost $700. Open to reasonable offers.

I would imagine these will sounds a little louder and be able to discern a bit of the individual exhaust pulses over the hug factory headers.

How is fitment on these relative to other brands? I have heard mixed things about these.

I have not tried installing them. The flanges are flat and Dimensions between the ports and stud holes are consistent. Hard to believe, at least to me, that design and weld fixture would be that far off and expect to sell very many. The quality is pretty good. Better than some sets for other cars i’ve seen. The tube bends and welded sections seem graceful when it comes to smooth flow.

The other brands are way overpriced. To high on the F-Tax. Titanium is a whole different animal.

I was in contact with a guy who had a problem fitting them. He said flanges are are not uniform or in plane. I looked at that when I purchased and detect anything way out of true, but I am going to put a straightedge across them tomorrow. I will post give and update.

Update on the gentleman who had problems with a set of headers during installation. The Indy Ferrari tech said he would not try to tighten them down in fear of pulling a stud out of the head. They were Fabspeed and he called them and their tech support said to drill the holes oversize and crank the nuts down.

Tech’s photo of flange out of plane.

360 top speed header user here, 2k miles and they work fine.

I did have mine decked at a machine shop for $120.

I did have to open up a flange hole or two a very small amount to be able to bolt them up to my heads. Again no big deal.

    I like mine.

Seems wrong, to me, that one would need to surface the interface that meets the head. It’s not like it became out of plane during shipment. Headman Headers, Billy Boat and many others seem to have their quality control on similar products under control. I would bet that the studs coming out of the head at each exhaust port from Ferrari, or Chevrolet, for that matter, are within .020”-.030” of design.

Would you need to surface a new cast steel manifold from Mercedes?

And it’s not just getting the header on the head. What about port alignment. Shifting left, right, up, or down could misalign and block flow. Most street users would not even realize a 1/4” misalignment.

    I don't know man
This is just crazy to me. The pics in post 12 and 13 the gap looks uncomfortably to much for me. Quality control comes into play here. And To tell a customer to just crank down the nuts is the worst advice I ever heard. Who's going to pay to get the broken stud out of the head when it snaps. Are they?

Being these headers i’m selling are tube fabrication, they will pull into place. It’s not like a cast iron manifold. But the Fabspeed are way out. “1/4””

We scanned our phone records and have not received any calls or given any advice of that sort. Happy to look into it further if you'd like to include some details, but something is not adding up here.

In any situation where headers an exhaust system does not fit properly, we have them shipped back for inspection. Furthermore, we take in-depth photographs of every system in its fixture before it leaves, so we can absolutely determine when the damage occurred.
