    Hi guys, I can't find simple info on this so I am asking:

    Oil capacity with filter change: 10 quarts right?

    Coolant volume ??

    For my car, fluid *change*:

    Coolant: just around 5-5.5 gallons, I believe.

    Oil: 10 quarts will be overfill; refill is closer to 9 qt.

    Thank you kind sir, that looks like the factory manual but I could find no such page. Where oh where was it hiding??

    Start with 8.5 quarts of oil and check it from there after you have warmed up or driven the car.
    Thorn is right 10 quarts is too much. You only use 10 quarts if have taken your engine apart or
    After you have rebuilt your engine as in bone dry of oil.

    It’s ok to have extra, You can save that and use it for later. When I buy my oil I always order them by the case of 12 quarts, only use what I need and save the rest.

    Yeah, I buy two 5-qt containers. It all gets used eventually.

    From dry the cooling system holds 5 gallons.
