It is not 0433 GT. I have tried for decades to identify my photo, no success so far. That's why I ask here on fchat. Marcel Massini
Thought I'd contribute a few....from a 1981 or 1982 "British car show" somewhere in Maryland. Sorry for the lousy quality of the photos. It was a cloudy day and I didn't have the right filters with me and these are transferred from slides to digital. But anyway, here are a few of the shots I took that afternoon so many years ago. Marcel, don`t know the s/n of the car but the registration was a dealer plate. Perhaps this helps a little...
Apologies, I was mislead by the trade plate and some notes I had copied over from barchetta, before realising how 'shaky' that information was.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Who can give the identity of this two-tones 250 Europa GT, seen during the 1957 Tour de France ?
Is this from a movie? Belgian plates? Might be 0419 GT. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login
Unfortunately, I can't remember where this pic comes from. May be from an online auction. Here is the whole set. I thought this car could be a follower for the Ecurie Francorchamps, so why not 0419GT ? Thanks. But Marcel, are you sure you pic shows 0419GT ? The inside mirror is mounted under the roof, like the 250 Europa, 375 America, and early 250 Europa GT. If it was 0419GT, it shoud have been mounted on the dashboard. I would say your pic with large grill rather shows 0317AL... Image Unavailable, Please Login
While sorting out pictures, I noticed that barchetta.cc still states that "B.0528" was 0317/AL. Of course, with 7 horizontal bars in the grill and interior mirror mounted on the dashboard, it can't be 0317/AL but this set of pics at autotechnikauktion.de definitively shows the car was in fact a 250 Europa GT. Yes, for sure 0427GT... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
not sure if this will be the answer of wich car this is .In the book ''Quatre fois vainqueur au Mans '' about Olivier Gendebien page 121 he tells about something that happend during the 1957 Tour de France ,he explain how his wife Marie-Claire for seeing as much possible of the race took is silver 250 Europa that she drove at high speed so maybe it's 0373GT ?
should 0419GT not have a one piece rear window on those pictures the car have a 3 pieces rear window ?
Possibly. But if B.0528 is NOT 0419 GT which Europa then is B.0528 ? Do you have a photo showing the car that on the 25th March 1956 was raced by Gendebien at the Côte de la Roche hillclimb? A pic where one can see the Belgian license plate. Marcel Massini
