It would be the most shameful thing ever seen in Formula One.

We had to know Mercedes would protest even at the risk of looking like poor sportsmen.

It won’t happen but they will try…
It’s sad it ends up like this.
Max is a worthy champion. He is an absolute beast and at the same time a danger on the track BUT he deserves this title.
Shame previous decisions led to this championship being to the wire and ending with a decision…because if not max would have won it before that last lap and we would not be talking about it.

i think that was the biggest question I had. Michael Messy was very indecisive in the moment. He made a decision, reversed course, but then only did it halfway by allowing some of the cars through but not the others.

He had no choice as Max had more wins coming into the race. If they took each other out, Max wins...If anything Max deserves the credit here

Well done Sainz, passed Norris for 5th. Very impressed by the Sainz this year. Pleasant surprise.

Leclerc came up short to Norris by a single point but really down to a slow pace today. Would be interesting to know why.

It would make complete sense. I don't know the rules well enough to comment really.

The main cars involved were out of the way....the ones between Lewis and Max....thats all that really matters.

I don’t believe it works that way. I think it was done as such because the safety car would have continued had all lapped cars passed.

And? He is still not the best driver in history. Both Senna and Schumacher are better than him.

And Verstappen is just the new king.

Just saw his interview on French television.
He seemed totally disappointed and more worrying had no real explanation..
    Work harder Charles !
Pure talent is not enough in Formula one.

The bending of the rules during the whole season has been a pathetic joke.
Unfortunately this last race was no exception, it's just funny that it's to Max's advantage for once.
Objectively Mercedes and LH had the best pace so in a fair competition they should have won this race; but in a fair competition nobody knows what would have been the standings at the beginning of the race.
