For the sales drive, are the red and black leather the deluxe editions with print? Does anyone have a picture of the print?

IMHO (and in the absence of any statement by Enzo) I think that the yearbooks were part of Enzo’s marketing. Enzo wasn’t particularly political and any Fascist symbols, photos of Il Duce etc were purely expedient. The first yearbook was 1931 (“2 Anni di Corse”) and was basically publicising the Scuderia. And, of course it wasn’t just yearbooks. There were also the newspapers and the blue magazines, and in later years all the different ‘presentation’ books. All promoting Scuderia Ferrari.

Years ago, I was given the privilege of being taken through Enzo's old "farm house" at the Fiorano track. In one of the upstairs rooms, I noticed a bookcase with a long series of artisanally bound white covered books. Each of the newer ones had a year printed on the spine. On the older ones, the years were written by hand. As you can see from the attached photo, they covered multiple shelves and went back decades. At the time, the last thing I was going to do was grab hold of one and see what they were about. Since then, I wonder if these could have been the original "libri di corse" being discussed here. Might anyone know?

Yes, that is an original set of 'Libro di Corse'. I was told that there was a set in the Fiorano house but this is the first photo I have seen. Thank you.

Print only came with the red leather 30 copy version, not the black leather 200 copy edition.

Sorry, never seen the included print.

Thank you for that, Nathan! At the time, the place was positively filled with all sorts of historic bits and bobs. Sadly, it's all gone now, as they have converted it into something of a glorified Airbnb rental. In today's Ferrari, everything is for sale at the right price...

Thanks MG. I forgot about the extras with the deluxe editions (doh). This was a print of the original artwork by Antonio de Giusti for the brochure. If you compare it with the brochure it is subtly different. It's not just a print of the brochure cover.

Hi Maarten, thanks for that. These extras were only with the deluxe editions.

Yesterday, I received La Nascita, and the set contains an information sheet about the history and background of the Libri di Corse. I think it might be of interest to share the relevant part of it here.

Cavallino magazine is advertising a few copies for sale. I don’t know if they’re marked up from the original price.
