`Just got a 2006 F430 Spider with 18k miles. Car needs a little tlc....Start and drives well but airbag light is on and at speeds above 75 I get a front shimmy. Thoughts and ideas appreciated.

Former owner gave me some recent service records, plus carfax listed some as well:

If you plan on doing any maintenance yourself, think about getting a Launch X431 soon. You can clear your airbag light with it right away.

    Beautiful! Congratulations!

So I recently put in sport seats and had to disconnect the connector under the passenger seat for the airbag sensor and now I've got the dash light.

You might consider checking that connection. It is under the middle of the passenger seat, maybe someone e shoved something under there and knocked it loose.

Of course I am sure there are various other potential causes but that's one

Also check the inside of your tire tread and wheel well. my son picked up some road tar on his wheel once and it was enough to throw it out of balance

Maybe you'll get lucky with simple solutions

    Good luck!

I know a salesman at Lambo, hopefully he can get me the vehicle serviced records so I can get a better baseline.

I own a Foxwell NT520, I can buy a ferrari module to do specific scans as well.

You will need a fairly good code reader to do airbags, but they are worth there weight in gold, Autel are very good. In the meantime, is the airbag light red or yellow?

The wheel wobble will almost certainly be wheel balance if it happens at certain speeds, so you might have lost a wheel weight, but get them balanced.

Sometimes a flat spot from sitting too long causes "road force" imbalance and feels like an out of balance wheel ..I would bring to a good shop with right wheel equipment to check balance including road force

Make sure that you check the lower ball joints and tie rods. I just replaced mine at 31,000 miles because of shaking.

Ernie found that wheels were way out of balance and also had to reindex tires on rims. Did not get a chance to go too fast yet but looks like shimmy is fixed.
