Apparently a 82 year old 512 TR owner lost control.

I hope no one was hurt. Sure didn't do the car any good.

We really struggled with that when my father was that age. We really wanted to take his car away but knew he'd just go buy another.

3 personas ferits... 3 slightly injured who were allowed to leave the hospital. Older driver of 85, donna 59 and employee of the store. Does not tell what driver and the donna were doing just before the accident. I suppose...enjoying life. :D

would it be worth more as a parts car vs standard?

I doubt it. Very little difference.

Sadly true. I know even for a relatively small accident our 328 or TR will be a total. The time required to get the parts the loss of use cost alone combined with salvage value the insurance co will just write us a check.

    Hope the driver is ok.

Poor car is a loss; looks like an earlier model/earlier SN 512TR. I can’t tell from the photos the color of the interior. Wonder who will end up with it….definitely some parts I could use…

Sad. But looks kinda repairable. Yes not for everyone but would love the challenge to keep it alive

No question it is repairable. All thats left is getting the parts. How many years you want to wait?

Sure, and you'll have the worlds only $500,000 512.

    Insurance companies don't do that.

I know of another one just like it. Bought at insurance auction by a guy similarly skilled. Sat covered in his garage until he died. Widow sold it to a Ferrari junk yard and it was parted out.

It how we keep others running.

I'm surprised that stallion was able to leap up and over that window ledge. I guess you just can't keep a good horse down.

It reminds me of the French guy who fixed a truly totaled TR as a labour of love (and perhaps insanity). I think it took 6 years, but as a guy who has spent years bringing back an unloved Dubai 91TR from the brink of being a parts car, I enjoyed reading about the madness of his journey:

    https://forum-auto.caradisiac.com/topic/20231-ma-folie-rouge/

To get an idea of how much work was needed, the thread is 1225 pages long. Every time I think about another project Testarossa (I was recently offered a completely sun destroyed one with a disassembled engine in a box) I revisit that thread.

Any thing is possible. I have a amazing history of what I have done at such a young age and will never stop learning.
