I need to get my bumper on my 458 repainted. Looking for recommendations of a top quality shop in Northern VA/DC/Maryland. Any recommendations are appreciated.

The bumper has no damage, just enough rock chips that justifies a new respray. What’s a reasonable price I should expect to pay?

    Thanks!

….and please don’t recommend D&V. They quoted $8000 for a simple bumper respray, which is outrageous.

Well there must be more to it than respraying the bumper then. D&V is recommended by FoW and I have had work done there. They had to refinish the engine lid on my 355 when a garage door spring exploded and dented part of the lid. That was $1,200.

This was the quote they provided me. $8000. They told me prices have gone up. Nothing more to it, this is a simple respray on a bumper with no damage. My assumption is they are now a victim of their own success and don’t have the bandwidth to meet demand so prices have gone up.

I won’t be using D&V because of their outrageous prices and am looking for other recommendations.

WagonWorks in Alexandria used to be top notch, not sure about these days, but worth a check.

They definitely were. You'd see many high end exotics in the parking lot

EuroPros in Gaithersburg comes highly recommended. Because of this they often have a good backlog of work.

Just a shot but have you called Competizione and Loudoun County Exotics and see who they would recommend?

Karosserie is one of the best. Meticulous work and skilled craftsman, I would go there, worth the drive

D&V is the best, but boy do they need competition.

    Lots of great recommendations here.
I believe the paint POC for our local FCA-MAR chapter is Ray Wolf of Automotive Elegance 410-207-5600.
I met him at an event recently and he seems very down to earth and probably worth chatting with.

Having used D&V several times, and seeing quotes of theirs, I do have a hard time thinking there is not more than a respray here. There may be cracking/flex that would require the bumper to have structure work done to it.

Anyway, Karosserie still has a good reputation buts it’s a completely different shop since Dick’s passing years ago.

You get what you pay for and D&V is the best! Ferrari of Washington uses them for incoming damaged cars. You won't be disappointed with them and in fact the opposite. Cheers!

Sorry for being so late on this thread. I had cracked the front valance on my 599, Karosserie did a first class job correcting it.

Never got around to doing it but I figure I’ll get it done in the next month.

Some updates: EuroPros said they don’t work on Ferraris.

Karrroserie quoted a whopping $15k and said they won’t only paint a bumper, they will only paint all adjoining panels, hood, etc to ensure proper color match. Crazy.

Automotive Elegance in Maryland (FCA-MAR sponsor) quoted a very reasonable $1,200. Will probably go with them!

This is the only one I found based on matching the phone number:

It appears to be a mobile detailing business addressed at: 2847 Louisiana Ave Halethorpe MD (which is a residential house).

No mention of a painting capability. The owner is Ray Wolf.
