They are. Here's an example. MPSS for the 599 GTO vs F12. The K1 was for the GTO. Softer compound, wider tread, shaved for better dry handling and reduced weight etc. If you have previously run MPSS K2's on your F12 and install a set of K1 MPSS, next time out in the rain, you will get yourself a nasty surprise.

As for the MPS4S K1 in 315/35R20, those were developed forcthe 812.
Haven't you ever wondered why there's an MPS4S in 245/35R20 in both K1 and K2, but only a 285/35R20 in K2 but no K1, and only a 295/35R20 in K1? That's because they are a matched set. The K1 set in that size was developed for the Lusso, and the K2 set was originally developed for the Cali T and carried over to the Porto and Roma. If you see those, two fronts next to each other, you'd be surprised at how different they are.

If you want the width and rim protection you are used to from the K2 MPSS originally fitted to the F12, mate up the 812 rears with non-OEM 265's. The non-OEN 255 is narrower and has less rim protection than the K2 originally fitted to the F12.

Those, are just my suggestions, but do what you feel most comfortable with.

that'll work nicely! i personally would just do 255 and 315 ps4s next time around. or 265/325 if they make 325 with 35 aspect ratio.

Night and day !!!! With the new PS4S front Toe -6 and rear Toe +7 , the car sucked on the ground so nicely , I have to say previous alignment settings and Pzero is completely a disaster.... I do feel like I gain so much power in my first gear , the confidence brought by this new set of tires are phenomenal !!!

Very cool. Post up some pics so that others can get an idea of how the 265 fronts look. It's a lot less different than some might think.

For comparison my oem 255/35/20 (S4S) look a bit narrow on the rim, Copilota is right.
My Fdealer didn't want to fit me the 265, next time I will go to an indy.

jose, looks fantastic. would you take more side profile pic like altoria did just above? mine looks just like altoria's. the sidewall is little slanted back in front (255) and squared up in the back (315 k1). yours looks more square both front & back. and why so much toe? do you track yours alot? what are your cambers?

any issues with stuff that would require wheel speed sensor calculations? like traction control and ABS (can try braking hard in wet or in sand)? that would've been my only concern with going 265 with the same aspect ratio-->little larger diameter. thanks a bunch!

My tire guy doesn't have camber shims on hand, so he have to stick with the factory setup and compensated by setting toes to archieve the alignment according to him :)

The car is very stable during acceleration compares to previous settings and tires, when I do hard brake I meant really hard brake from 55 mph to 20 mph, the ABS barely kicked in. It only kicked in when the tire is cold as 10 C ish and hard stop from 40 to 0, but the car is really stable once again , the confidence brought by this is unspeakable compares to before.

I had my rear tire at 2.4bar to match the front , so trying to trade off the increased 3.5mm from the 265, but to be honest, I really can't tell the difference lol.

There is no ABS issues or other issues running that size. It's well within what the system was designed for. The diameter difference is so small that tyre wear could create that difference. Furthermore. It's actually the same difference Ferrari uses for the F12 winter tyres.

    255/305 vs. 265/315. Zero issues.

His toe is actually very shallow. He posted his specs above. His rear toe is only +1 mm and front is only -0.9 mm. If this was a hardcore track setup, rear toe would be more like +2 mm and front about -1.2 mm.

jose looks fantastic. sidewall angle looks about the same as rear. as for toe,

are those in degrees? I thought factory alignment is -0.26 deg max total in front & +0.44 deg max total in rear. I'm just wanting to check whether I have the parameters correct since those numbers are not from dealership. I got those off hunter alignment machine computer from a local shop.

No his toe specs are minutes, and that's what's found in the WSM as well. -0.26 degrees total is very close to what he is running. -0.26 degrees total is -8 minutes per side. At -6 minutes he is well within OE tolerances.
However, I think +7 minutes rear is on the shallow side. I'd like to see closer to +12 mins or so.

I had 255 MPS4S's installed a bit ago before I really dug deep into this thread. For any new people to the thread or for those who do a subsequent search, heed Il Co-Pilota's words......265 on the front. I'll 100% be doing them on my next set.

Thanks for info, I was getting ready to schedule mine as well.

I was planning on the mps4s, standard 265/35/20 fronts with 315/35/20 K1 rears, is this the consensus for the recommended setup?

It's cold today, the car did slided a little bit in lower gear with sudden accelreate to 4K RPM, TC quickly kicked in , but I do feel like the dynamics with the car :)

Despite the advantages put forward here for the 265/35, Ferrari dealers are refusing to fit this size.

They are just covering their arse. Some dealers are more relaxed than others. Some even refuse to use anything but the Pirellis which are still available because they are the OEM tyre. They won't even install MPS4S in the OE size.
