Can anyone assist please with a picture of original tartan ( red ) to show orientation of where the factory stiching goes relative to the material grid pattern? Thanks

Very nice period photos of a 1976 Turbo in Japan. Not sure of the origin of the photos but they are posted on this YouTube page - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdE6K1h9mNCkrKLjwBrkQyQ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello turbo carrera fellows! I am new to this forum so saying hello to the community here from overseas. Had couple of porsches before, including 86 930 but finaly made my dream come true and got a real turbo - 76 turbo carrera, number 489, GP white with black interior, tourist delivery - i believe one of 10 that year. As i will be getting it mostly back to factory state, i will surely be asking some questions here. Interesting circle decals on the Japanese delivered Turbos (at least some of them) on the windshield above the rear-view mirror and the rear window. There is also another circle decal on top-left of the front windshield. 1976 Turbo, Plate 33 13-08 (Emerald Green Metallic) - #3 1976 Turbo, Plate 33 49-31 (White) - #5 1976 Turbo, (Silver) - #6 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Perfect timing for me as I just picked up a 87 930 factory "flachbau" (slantnose) Targa so I'll be relying on some input.
Thanks! Already studied this book in quite a detail Great stuff indeed. Thanks for all the warm messages!
Hello turbo carrera experts! My car came with removed rear wiper. Regardless whether it is needed or not (some people would surely argue!), i want it back in and already got all needed parts. I have try-fitted it in but the problem is that if it.is properly installed, the wiper motor collides with turbo elbow and engine lid does not close. On some pics in the internet i saw that the wider side mounting plate of the bracket is.sometimes modified (cut) to move the bracket about an inch up (looking at the lid in open state). See pic for reference. Is this how it has always been done in 3.0 turbos? It is not the most beautiful but well, before i cut mine to make it fit, i'd better make sure this is the correct way to do it See also my bracket the way it looks now. I had an emissions-controlled 86 930 for a time, even with the detuned engine it was a handful. Snap oversteer and being young and inexperienced meant I wasn't willing to own it for long. I sold it on after a few months for a much more manageable 964 turbo. Will always miss that car, sold it for what I thought was a good deal, but alas it was early in the air-cooled boom.
See the spare parts catalog ( microfishes) for the 3.0 Turbo 75-77 no different brace in these years according to porsche hopefully this is of any help for you Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
