    After having spent a quiet but very nice Christmas at our "under renovation" country house, we had planned to spend the week and New Years in Pa ris. But while we were getting ready to head north we looked at each other and said maybe South is a better direction. An hour on the laptop and we were set, with a hotel in Antibes for the week. It was a great decision!

    South of France...

    Stayed in Cap d'Antibes, ventured during the week between St Raphael in the west and Eze in the east.

    The snow capped alps photo was taken from the beach near the town centre of Antibes.

    The roads in this area are spectacular if a bit narrow on occasion.
