The SRI hoses are probably not a "must do," but our cars are reaching 20 years and for those in position to do it, SRI has provided what they believe is a better quality product compared to OEM at virtually the same price. Can't knock em for that. The only real decision is, come time to replace them, are you going to place your bets on OEM hoses or SRI hoses?

Wasn't Ferrari on the verge of financial destruction before the release if the 355? Something tells me Ferrari didn't always use the best quality parts although they have tendency to charge like they do. This is the reason why I am not a "purist," because i know there are better after-market alternatives for some parts and I will choose the best for my car. The damn winshield delaminates for christs sake. I have never seen a window delaminate on any car ever owned.

I'm tempted to get a set of these hoses for my major, but a little concerned that even after spending the money one of them doesn't fit properly.

    Or have I misread that?

And there is the contradiction. I've seen more problems with heater cores developing leaks than any cooling hose, heater or otherwise, failing. And I bet if you check all the threads there is more discussion about radiator failure than hose failures.

Does anyone know, if you replace the four small hoses that go on the ends of large pipes against the firewall, do you need to remove/replace a radiator to get them on? Whoever did my last major replaced those hoses with some green ones that have a UPC code on them! I bought the Scuderia Rampante hoses but can't get them on by simply removing the solid pipes from the tie down straps. Do I need to remove a radiator?
