Not my style, but whatever floats their boat. This car with serial number 83149 shows a sticker price all in at $151,750.00
I have the original sticker price on one of my Testarossa's vin 88581 also titled as a 1991, and it's sticker had jumped to $175,950.00.

Almost a 25K increase in the same year. My car has the exact window sticker as the one in this guys ad, just WAY more money. I was kind of surprised to see his sticker so much lower. I think by 1991 the Ferrari rush of 1988 had peaked and crashed.

My bet is that whomever buys it will have factored in a discount reflecting the cost of restoring its originality. Are the original shocks included? It also needs a dashboard recover. At least some of that aftermarket stuff can be sold to recoup a small amount of the cost of reconversion.

doubt there is a market for those aftermarket parts, i think that car at $80,000 where it is now is a good buy, you need to plan on spending around $35K with the service at least to make that car presentable.

Pretty shabby car. Makes you wonder why they call it a 91? The window sticker, and I am sure the VIN plate and emission sticker all call it a 90.

The camber on that car is so far off it is likely hazardous to drive it hard.

I can tell you this, cars that have been bagged get really beat up, i had a 964 like that and many of the components under the car were damaged from bagging it, i remember all the fuel lines had to be redone.

Forgive my biases but areas of this car that were not important for the cause of looking cool are pretty deteriorated and not cared for. It is my feeling that that extends to everything. I wouldn't buy this car for parts.

Hey i'm with you..who knows what else it will need..at $80k it may have been worth the risk, at $65k its a fair good buy..but at a $100k+ no way

The car runs and drives. That is a good start. It's a 50k car at best. But some goof will pay 100k for it and brag to thier buds about how good of a deal they got.

As they say... there is an ass for every seat.

Edit... I kinda like it.. I'll see myself out..

Not for everyone. It's funny how a car can make people so mad.

The responses are not unexpected amongst the Boxer/TR/M audience on Ferrarichat (who probably like well cared for original Testarossas). OTOH, on a Tesla forum it might attract a lot of electric conversion comments, but nobody will comment on the suspension.

That’s an extreme interpretation. I mentioned the Mona Lisa, not that every piece of artwork should be left original. The TR’s aesthetic design is rare and special, and so deserving of preservation—while most car designs are not. Owners of course should be free to do what they want with their cars, but doesn’t mean anyone else has to like or condone it.

You have a lot of trouble reading people I guess. No one here is mad. Hard to imagine what leads to that conclusion. And not a single persons has suggested modifications are not OK. I am a national concours judge and mine isn't stock.
