Image Unavailable, Please Login Hello everyone, yesterday I drove my father’s car from Lugano to Maranello and back. (3hr going and 3 hrs coming back) it’s cold, but not that much. around 1 degree Celsius. it’s my first drive and I am not familiar with the car, I own a 328. And the car is new to him The temp gauges always remain close to what is shown on the picture. Is this normal? Is the boost normal? thanks in advance for your comments.
Temps look normal. Water temp will run up to around 100*C if you are in warmer weather/idling in traffic before fans cut in to limit it. Oil pressure looks normal if you were on throttle. Will usually be between 2.5-5 bar off throttle.
Anecdotally, I notice my F430 runs pretty cool when moving if the ambient air temp is below 55-60F. If I run it hard it will warm up a bit. They seem to really like the cold air, because mine sure heats up in the summer when air temp is 90F+. Curious what other 360/430 owners experience? And I have to say, @RodC328gts I am very jealous of where you were driving!
Coming from Switzerland into Italy felt strange and I felt like a dumb ass, here I was respecting the speed limit and the Italians passing by at 180 km/hr, while I was at 120 (10 over the limit) LOL. pretty sure everybody was mad at that guy on the F driving slow. Me too, but was more scared of a ticket.
My 360 temp gauge is very active. Right now (45* ambient) it will stay around 150-175* F. In the warmer months (80* ambient) it remains constant around 190-210* F around town and 175* F at speed on the interstate. Water temp is obviously very sensitive to ambient temp and air flow.
But not worried about a ticket for (apparently) using your mobile at the wheel which in contrast to NA is illegal thro'out Europe.....
I commented in jest. And if you must know, yes there were times I followed some cars at 180-200 km/hr.
