    IMHO, a shooting brake will always look better than an SUV due to less overall height. Consider the "real estate" area on each between the bottom of the rear window and the top of the bumper step. Consider the 576 dimension versus the 839 below. The difference is 263 more space to make "pretty," and no matter how many ridges, vents, etc. designers may use to camouflage the space, the end result seems to always be equivalent to putting lipstick on a pig.

    On a side note, this extra rear height area is what makes the C8 Corvette rear end look so awkward. They need to take about 10" out of the rear height. {Rant over}

    What do professional car designers think of Frank Stephenson
    design critiques? They are free on You Tube. I met him at some event at Art Center. He has sure worked for a lot of car companies and designed some exotics including Ferraris. I enjoy his critiques and am amazed he cranks out so many You Tube videos, Is his design sense au courant or already in the (near) past? One I haven't seen yet is Critiquing YOUR Designs! Episode 1 - YouTube where he critiques beginners. I loved his home studo, which i guess is in UK.He is really International guy, born in Casablanca, seems at home in any country.

    They didn't really do the traditional sketching method back then.
    "Sergio Scaglietti, who used intuitive genius and a hammer — seldom blueprints or sketches — to sculpture elegant Ferraris that won Grand Prix races in the 1950s and '60s and now sell for millions of dollars, died on Nov. 20 at his home in Modena, Italy. He was 91. (NY Times) "

    I wonder if Ferrari gave him a 2004-2010 Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, as the car bore his name.

    All the best,
    Andrew.
