For those that have recently traded in their 812 Superfast,(getting a 812 GTS or other car) what percentage of MSRP did the dealer offer?

Mine would have said they didn't want to insult me with their offer and would happily take it on consignment to compete against the two brand new ones with no owners yet sitting in their showroom.

My guess is a lot has to do with what you're trading for and the relationship.....and as with any trade, not as much as you would think....it's ALWAYS painful

Did you buy from them? Seems the price is lower on cars they did not sell you.

At the 812 price point it’s hard to do private sale. Try Mike on the boards. He seems to work hard.

No. I don't have one. It just seems like stuff is soft atm and we would get to wholesale pretty quick in an environment where they, and other dealers, have new ones looking for owners too. I don't blame them, or think they aren't working hard, it's just a new environment I think with all the new models being pushed out and a 2 year waiting list for new not existing. Other markets could vary. I was imaging what that conversation would go like today if I had an 812 today.

Wouldn't it be easier and factual to just call a few dealers and offer the car? They will all make an offer.

My guess: 30% back from MSRP. The 812 used retails about $350K plus/minus a few %. Wholesale I’m guessing is 15% lower. Do the math...

    Good luck!

Worth mentioning that there is tremendous variation in 812 MSRP’s. Mine is a relatively high spec at $475, many others are sub-$400. On that basis, it’s hard to work off a % of MSRP formula. Keep in mind, that color and spec make a tremendous difference too. For example, I wouldn’t want to try and move a 812 without a lifter or LEDS. Also, dudes like me that spent over $50,000 on carbon bits would never even hope to recover a decent portion of that...um...investment.

Nearly All high end cars are plummeting right now.

The good thing is if you trade into another preowned car, then hopefully the new car will also be purchased at a lower price due to being similarly affected.

I just don't understand these threads. You can literally spend 30 minutes and get the exact answers by just calling a few dealer and asking.

What's the point in asking people to guess?

And percentage will have no consistency. The highest percentage back will be the one with the most common and reasonable spec. Spec a 500k car and it's going to be a heck of a lot less than a bare bones red/black with basic amenities.

My experience is that dealers will gladly take it on consignment. But when you ask them to write a check, there are lots of excuses and they will not buy it unless
they can steal it from you with some absurd low offer.

Dealers are begging for cars now and the 2020s look like they are selling for pretty much full price. The inventory has dropped by half since this post was first made.

Wow, just checked and there are only about 30 812sf for sale nationwide and many are going for substantial premiums over MSRP. The inventory just keeps shrinking.

When I got my 812 in August of ‘20 there were about 100 on the market. Now there’s less than two dozen.
