Beware of Cavallino 2022 changes and Canossa

Was a goal of mine to visit Cavallino Classic for many years. Finally was able to make the trip in 2013.
Was not disappointed. The quality and number of cars was stellar.

You can’t expect to eat $680 tortellini with a direct lineage to Enzo Ferrari while wearing a tank top and blue jean shorts.

 

I wore a sport jacket last year and was overdressed compared to most of the spectators. I’m bringing more casual clothes this year.

 

You must wear certified official factory fashion, or they won't let you in........

My jean shorts were sewn professionally at great expense by the 3rd cousin to the count of Montreal, who dated the grand-niece of one of Enzo's seat assemblers for a week in 1975.

Well, kidding aside, a lot of people today don’t really know what type of attire is appropriate for a particular event, occasion or venue.

 

I’m going dress pants, shirt and blazer…..i live 10 minutes down the road so I can always make a switcheroo if need be.

 

Take a look around any airport today, and you'll get a sense of the 'public's' sartorial taste.

 

The official program says “casual”.

Standard dress in palm beach is a blue blazer. You see most of us “older” guys in sports jackets but there also be plenty of people in jeans and a tshirt or polo. Lol, you’ll also see the occasional attention whore in some type of flowered or neon colored ensemble. Probably taking Tik Toks or Instagram pics.

Oh, and don’t forget the “men” who’ll be wearing a suit with pants that are six inches too short to show their shoes that they wear with no socks.

For the Record, I like CardiB.....her show at HLSR broke Garth Brook's attendance record, and two hotties and I snuck in!
So, we were not counted.....

Megan at COTA showed "everything wrong" with a lot of things....

 

Never! I'm a man of my word. I know they were authentic because of the tortellini in the cargo pockets.

My visit to Cavallino was when you and I met. Seems like a long time ago.

 

I was just thinking that! Wow, almost ten years already.

We need to find a way to get together soon. It’s been too long.

 

Haven't been to FLA since then.
Need to schedule a visit.

 

Pajamas

 

Don't laugh, I cant tell you how often I see people show up at my local coffee joint in their pajamas & even slippers sometimes!
It's come to this.......

Hey no socks is called Palm Beach socks and is standard for tons of people in Europe spring summer even with a blazer.

 

The new/next generation of Cavallino Classic attendees ?
