Good luck to them, the amount of 360s for sale has doubled in the last 3 months, time to sell up and batten down the hatches, a storm is coming

Well 360's were pretty cheap until quite recently. It wouldn't shock me to see them go back closer to where they were.

Like I said I'd love to know how many, if any are selling for this kind of money. $200k on the top end would seem to be a bit more reasonable, but who knows - the market is crazy at the moment.

I went out and had a really good look at these two f355's this morning, and I'm just staggered at the prices they're asking considering the condition.

I’d be interested in your thoughts on their condition v price etc.

There’ll be a better one than both of these for sale in a month or so…

I can go into more detail if you like, but in short:

The 1995 import is the far better of the two on spec, but in reality it's in a pretty shocking state. Would need a lot of work to bring back to what I'd consider a passing grade. Lots of after market bling (looks like it was owned by a racer wannabee), a very nasty looking interior and average paint at best. Advertised as having ceramic shields, but they're only stick-ons. Buttresses showing signs of separation. In my opinion, totally mis-represented by the advertising. It's like a supermodel that has let herself go over the last 25 years.

The F1 car is a lot better. A lot more original. A previous poster in this thread stated the carpets look fake, but I don't believe they are. It's a very odd colour though, I've never seen this shade of brown before - a special order perhaps? It definitely needs at the very least a retrim on the seats as they are very worn, but if it were me I'd pull it all out and put in a proper new tan interior. Given the choice of the two, irrespective of cost, I'd still have this one.

Both in my estimation are overpriced by between $50k-$75k, maybe $100k with the import.

As far as the dealer goes, I would personally not recommend buying a Ferrari from them.

The more I look at the more I realize that truly nice RHD f355's are a rare breed indeed. The red GTS and the yellow berlinetta currently on carsales would bury these two in terms of condition.

I think it's simply that most of them are neglected. What I saw this morning was really quite depressing.

Those that are looked after are loved, like mine, so I think you're right - they probably come onto the market rarely. Mine's been in the same family since 2002.

The two I flagged on carsales look OK (particularly the GTS).

Didn't help that the two I saw this morning were being sold by a dealer who has no business trying to sell Ferrari's. In my opinion.

Given what I saw today I actually think it's probably a bit easier to pick a good one than you think.

There's a massive and very obvious gulf between the good ones and the bad ones that even an amateur could see - assuming they know what a good one looks like, of course.

Best thing would be to get an authorized dealer and/or mechanic to look it alongside somebody who knows these cars well.

I mean who tears up an A pillar to mount an after market speaker in a Ferrari... Couldn't believe it.

The one with the red wheel centres has been on carsales for a long time. It seems to have a lot of aftermarket crap on it as well, which screams improper maintenance to me. A UK import (I know it makes no difference to me or many others, but you can't argue that one for the first questions that gets asked is 'is it Aus delivered?') with crap all over it and the engine bay. I hope they get the money, but I can't see it happening. If I'd have known yours was going to be on the market Steve, I may have waited.
