The Scud badges look ridiculous. As does the passenger footwell plate, and the exhaust cover and the shields on the shock actuators and air boxes and the..............
And yes, it's all removable, but why on earth would you leave that rubbish on when you are trying to achieve top dollar?
Yep by a so called reputable Pommy mob. So far: leaking pinion seal caused by the cog/nut holding the pinion not being 'staked' when tightened...the pinion is loose, video. Metal on the drainplug due to foiked bearings..see above. The oil was grey soup. The anodised CV bits were pitted and then covered by a seal. That's as far as we've got ATM. I'll email you the pics so far if you'd care to post but no names yet as they've responded positively to my initial email prior to pics.
The F1 is factory ordered with Cuoio interior it’s like a tobacco colour. It was previously very poorly maintained and ran low on oil from what I was told by the last owner. It’s had a full engine rebuild at Barbagallo including liners and pistons. F1 cars are still relatively unloved and sell when priced right. This one is not. The 1995 car where do we start.. what a turd. Absolutely dreaming.
The F1 car had a pretty seriously dirty engine, but other than that and the interior it wasn't terrible - just very expensive. Other big problem IMHO is where it's being sold. I just don't get why so many 355's end up in this state. I wouldn't even let a VW Golf get into this condition.
Hang about, was that done about 2 years ago? I recall being in barbs a few years back getting a service on mine and I saw a 355F1 in pieces with what I was told was a cracked piston? That car's owner ended up putting in some after market pistons, if I recall?.. If so it was in Barbs for about 4 months all up. The engine was completely in bits. I still have a photo somewhere....
September 2020 it was in bits. The motor was cooked on the track. Owner was posting about it on FB F355 group.
Doubtfull though I'm contacting them tomorrow after the rest of it has been dismantled, the list is getting longer for a supposedly recond unit...
