Hydrogen-electric will happen way before full electric as far as commercial aircraft are concerned.

Maybe for long distance, but why add the complexities, weight and cost to shorter distance routes?

After the roaring success of my last "can anyone see what's in this photo" quiz, I decided to take another few shots as I flew around the outback today.

I'll post one up in a few minutes and hopefully someone can guess what it is, cos I've never seen it before!

I was wondering what that means. Does it not exist?

Radar altimeters are for avoiding crashes into the ground :p

When you watch youtube and the animated voice is counting down the feet to the ground it is coming from the radar altimeter

They're the same thing. Radar / Radio altimeter are just different names for it.

TCAS is for avoiding traffic and is a totally different system.
