Old news. So, how many threads will we need for this? Look into the regular ENZO thread. Marcel Massini
Nice vidéo, the car was smoking.... Seems to have Green plates, I suppose they are reserved for dealers?
On the other thread, the one that is 95 pages long and dates back years, the supposed owner commented that it was crashed by a dealer service tech. At least I believe that is what he wrote. If true, that dealer owes the owner one Enzo. Ouch!
Yes I saw it. I prefer a new thread more easy for next research. It has already happened to other dealers. They planned everything in advance. Insurance, waiting, mood management etc ... It's going to be a long time...
I'm with you. A new thread is easier to navigate. We've seen a number of threads where Ferrari service techs have crashed cars. They may know how to work on them, but they apparently don't know how to drive them within limits. Mood management? I don't understand.
The guy who must explain to the customer what happened... The time of immobilisation of the car etc, etc
Kroymans pictures exterior & show room with this car. The color of rims... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Some of "your" pix show red seats, others black ones. NOT the same car. The crashed one has black seats, not red ones......... Marcel Massini
Mods, Sorry for the off-topic comment. It does not seem I'm able to DM Marcel so I am writing this as a comment. Would you happen to have any information about an F40 being sold new to South Africa? My grandfather purchased one new and had it in Johannesburg for about 4 days and then more or less immediately sold it to someone from Hong Kong. He had quite strong feelings about the build quality so I have no photos and no chassis # so I am chasing a cold trail. Any idea? Thanks
That F40 might have been the one sold to my HK company sometime in 1989, was your grandfather a man called Hess? The car was paid for and the then the airwaybill fraudulently amended at Johannesburg airport to send the car to Frankfurt instead of HK. We turned up to Kai Tak with airwaybill in hand to meet the South African Airways flight. No car on board....what a s**t fight that took to sort out over many years.
Whenever a tech works on the car, they will often drive it afterwards to make sure the car is now sorted. This isn't unusual. What is unusual, is that they wreck and total the car. I don't know if this is the case in this situation, but a commenter claiming to be the owner left that message on another thread.
