Hi all, I’ve finally decided to make the ‘pilgrimage’ to Maranello with my 308 GTS. Would anyone be able to recommend somewhere to stay nearby to the factory in June? I prefer homely and maybe rustic types of accommodation on these trips.

    Many thanks, Ray.

You might get more success asking in the Italy section or at the very top if you cannot find any of the multiple detailed factory visit threads

I’ve been through all the lengthy threads I can find, but the most recent updates were 2019. I’ll try the Italy section though. Thanks.

I've only ever stayed in hotels in the town itself (the Planet and the Palace I think, both are fine...) so can't help with rustic accommodation but I was in Maranello the other day and would definitely recommend the recently-revamped Cavallino restaurant, if you like a bit of fancy grub anyway.

In its old guise I'd have always recommended the Montata over it; now I say do both!

I've had decent luck with places to stay on www.agriturismo.it in the past, that might be worth a look.

I liked this place in Modena, but you'll need transportation to Maranello. It was nice to walk around and explore Modena as well as Maranello.

And run by the same bloke who's taken over the Cavallino in Maranello (with Ferrari).

A top tip: if you want to go to Osteria Francescana in Modena then it's much easier to get a booking for lunch, than it is for dinner.

I've stayed at the Planet Hotel, Domus Hotel and Maranello Village.

I didn't like the Domus at all, unfriendly staff and old smelly rooms but maybe they have been refurbished by now (I was there in 2007!)

The Planet Hotel is right across the street from the factory. It's also very close to the museum.

Maranello Village is my favorite. Around 3 km's from the Maranello center tho. It's a Ferrari themed hotel (quite big, several buildings). A lot of Ferrari workers sleep here in the residency. There's a bar, a restaurant and a self-service restaurant, it's pretty cool to eat among the people from the factory.

I've also heard good stories about the Maranello Palace but have never stayed there. It's on the other side of the factory at the wind tunnel.

    I stayed here https://www.hotelvillamaranello.it/

Rooms - clean, modern, spacious, good value
    Restaurant - excellent
    Breakfast - hopeless, avoid
    Location - excellent

Unless you enjoy cleaning your car, do not park under the trees!

Stayed here 5 times, 5 mins to the centre of Modena and all the shops for the ladies, great breakfast and the restaurant next door is amazing. The last time was in Jan 2020. Its quite fancy so not realy what you asked for but its another idea.
http://best-western-premier-milano-palace.modenatophotels.com/en/ has off street parking but not great for a low Ferrari, but a 308 should be fine, but best check with them first.

Try arnaldos in rubiera, about 10 miles from Modena on the road to Reggio Emilia. It’s a 15 th century coach hotel. Restaurant was good when I stayed there 10 yrs ago. And not too expensive.

A relative in Serramazzoni has a bed and breakfast, Serra is 15 miles from Maranello in the mountains. A lot of Ferrari people live there.

Hello Ray I am also thinking of going to Maranello with my Ferrari, I was planning on going in 2020 but Covid put a stop to it and was hoping to take my 328 this year? Any advice would be greatly appreciated? Regards Nikki

I know a b and b in serramazzoni, 20 minutes above maranello. Another great place is Arnaldos in rubiera, about 30 minutes away toward reggio emilia.

Hotel Maranello Palace right across the (modern entrance of the) factory (and near windtunnel) in Maranello, all good, reasonably priced, underground parking perfect for low Ferraris. Safe and secure. Excellent breakfast.
I have stayed there many dozen times, usually in Suite 126 or 226.

    No.
Both Suites 126 and 226 are looking towards the front parking and are in the main building.
And not looking to the motorway.
