For those in LV, have you noticed any growth in the car culture with the massive influx of Kalifornians? Maybe I need to get out more but I have not. Granted, we don't have PCH or the brilliant canyon roads So Cal does but I would think Kalifornians would have brought some of that famously incredible car culture with them and help LV grow in that aspect. I only see their arrival raising prices and overpopulating the city.

Cars and Coffee at Speed Vegas.....last time I was there, there was minimal turn out.
Exotics and Espressos......last IG post was back in Oct. I reached out to see if it was still a thing....crickets.

Desperately waiting to see if Pahrump's Fairgrounds and karting facility get built.

The local Ferrari club is effectively non-existent. I've got an F12 so maybe I just need to take occasional trips to So Cal and hang out a few weekends a year or be an interloper with the LVPCA (who is VERY active). *shoulder shrug emoji* lol

The FCA chapter here seemed a lot more active 15-20 years ago than it does now. The Porsche club is a lot more active. I got too used to SoCal's Cars & Coffee, which will ruin pretty much anywhere else's.

Took a drive up and down the strip tonight. Reminded me of why I moved here. Love LV, the lights, the themed casinos (MGM, Excalibur, Paris, Bellagio, Vanician, etc), the sounds of a casino, the food. Was nice as long as I stayed in my car and avoided masks, the smell of weed, and people. lol

Would be great to have a small meetup somewhere in Vegas or Henderson; coffee; then go for a group drive. The usual cars and coffee on Saturday on Eastern is mostly classic cars and corvettes…nothing wrong with those!

Unfortunately I don’t have the Speciale anymore but it has been replaced with something just as if not more “special” imo ;)

Henderson has always been retired boomers to me. You can only hear so many guys tell the same Jeff Dunham joke to each other next to muscle cars. Sorry fellas, no more Sha Na Na reunions

You clearly missed this part of my post before replying in typical snowflake fashion.

    Go away.

While I've never understood the appeal of LV per se, my wife likes the glitz, glitter and playing on those noisy machines they have everywhere, so we just spent 3 nights in there, only to confirm I or actually neither of us would never want to live in there or surrounding area, no matter how old we get.
Last time I was there few years ago with my best friend, who flew from Europe, just to attend VLV and reminisce our teenage and early twenties life (in '70s/'80s).
We drove up, around and back in my Roadster, stayed at some Embassy Suites or something near UNLV. Cruised Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire (+ hiked some trails), but other than that, didn't find any interesting nearby roads for driving.
I might attend VLV someday again.

Mods, please delete this thread. Too many stupid replies from Kalifornians and, like Vegas, they have ruined this thread.

TTR sorry you had that experience many moons ago. It is a pretty neat place if you get far away from the strip, but like anything, it is an adjustment and not a 1:1 of Socal. I work in Vegas and have on and off for the last 20-ish years. There are some great neighborhoods outside the stuff they are pumping out right now which are flooded with some of the worst people SoCal has to offer. As for the roads, there are some drives here and there, out to the Grand Canyon or to Mt charleston is not bad but given the valley is a grid system, you have to be willing to look and locals play things close to the vest. I spend half my time in beverly hills in the canyons and no, there isn't the wealth of roads like SoCal, but there are a couple good things be they un-technical.

There was a Purist GTG that started as they built downtown Summerlin going back maybe 7-ish years ago, and it had some exotics but mainly tuner cars. I have not kept up with what those guys have done, but the west side is a younger crowd and I see a few exotics rolling around RR and blasting up Far Hills.

Thanks Tim, but the VLV or last weeks brief visit weren't bad experiences overall.
It just that LV or surrounding areas don't seem to offer many interesting (technical ?) driving roads.

I live in Riverside, CA, which allows me an easy/great, year round access to numerous interesting/"technical" driving roads within an hour from home and as a (vintage) car guy who loves to drive as much and as often as possible (at least 2 or 3 times a month), I tend to compare other places accordingly.

For me, all other amenities and conveniences (or luxuries) in life are secondary.

There are also countless C & Cs, cruise nights and events around here and everywhere in SoCal, but those do not interest me.
I love/enjoy driving 50-100 year old vintage cars, but modern ones do nothing for me. I view new Ferraris or KIAs with same disinterest as my dd, appliance white pickup truck.

Thanks Ryan. I don’t have FB so I wouldn’t have seen his posts. I’m considering talking to Jessica at Towbin Ferrari about doing F1 watch parties at the dealership. Rich said to pitch it as a marketing opportunity and she might go for it. Maybe get a few local shops like Incognito to come onboard as sponsors. What do you think?

I think I may have seen your F12 parked 4-5 cars from me at the Celebrity cars and coffee last week. Nice!

Thanks. I didn't see your Speciale, which side was it on? There was a black Carrera GT there, I didn't know the owner though.

I will say that things are getting better as far as guys going for drives and meeting up. 5-6 years ago there wasn't nearly as much going on. Now I know 2 dozen younger guys with performance cars and exotics who are up for drives. Admittedly with a business and kids I have a lot less time than others!

I walked over to your car to say hi but you may have been walking around. My car was the black Carrera GT.
