Basicaly bikes have terrible aero. Other than for city use an elecitric road bike makes no sense due to aero drag at sped destroying range. That won’t change untill battery energy density quadruples. Then there is the whole concept that bikes are viceral mechanical things. New Triumph classics totally outsell the sports bikes, look at Harley, smooth refined silent powertrains are not a plus. Bikes already have great performance so the advantage of an wl cricket in that regard is somewhat moot. Plus a a rider, loud pipes do save lives.

for the dirt bike electrics make total sense. So much so that gas is pointless.on an electric dirt bike You have low down tq, the throttle is rheostat precise, speeds are low enough to that aero drag is not an issue and distances are small. Plus the lack of noise makes dirt bike more acceptable in off-road wilderness areas. I guess price is still a drawback.

Off road e-bikes, ie overgrown electric bycycles are pretty neat
