    Guys…. The economy is failing.

If you want to sell for profit - now is the time. In 12 months, things will look very different. Fed printing is all that is holding the economy up.

Anything you NEED (food, power, medical, mid size homes) will appreciate.

    Anything you WANT will tank.

Beautiful, Dennis @EZORED .. I love them in the darker colors! Looks better to me than the recent black 512TR and TR on BaT that went for crazy money.. is it regular or metallic black? Tan seats and carpets or tan seats and black carpet?

Mine will be blu pozzi so also quite dark.

Right, that's what I was trying to get at earlier but hadn't been so clear. Just for example the odd tacked on third brake light on the current TR on BaT.

There also seem to be a lot of US cars that were modified in undesirable ways, big stereos and other accessories haphazardly spliced into the electrical, speakers cut in to interior, external antennas drilled in rear deck, etc.

Other than the mouse belts, I'm not aware of major differences; the differences in side lights are minor to me. I'm told the Swiss version 512TR has more noise damping in the engine compartment and a bit longer 3rd gear ratio.

There do seem to be a lot more of the later cars with the updates available in Europe than the US.

The worst of the worst for me is actually the modified cars like the Hawaiian car on bat, even though I seen worse.
Id be curious to see how many of the 7000’s TR how many are left running in un molested conditions.
Id be interested to know why the Swiss version would have a longer 3rd gear ratio

yeah I nearly mentioned that Hawaiian car specifically in my previous response..

I believe the longer 3rd gear ratio lowered the RPM at which some fixed speed (km/h) regulation applied, I'd guess sound level (based on also adding sound insulation for that market) or possibly emissions. I can re-ask my expert over there who told me if you want.

I was just curious. Growing up next to Switzerland I’m not surprised… it’s not easy driving a super car there between their speed cameras, and other regulations so I thought it was something like that

I would be happy as an owner if it sold, but shocked. Following our earlier thread here's the endowment effect psychology in full view on the BaT Testarossa.

just check all the previous sales, they are proving him wrong. He is clearly tooting his own horn.

Yes that's why it's called the endowment effect! If "you own it" you ascribe more value to it than you'd be willing to pay.

Switzerland has very low noise requirements and pretty serious emission regs. Also countries have a wide variety of testing methods that are spelled out in great detail and manufacturers build cars to pass those specific tests. That is exactly what VW did with some of their diesels and got in very serious trouble. In my mind they were just doing what everyone else does. Build the car to pass the test.
