I have a soft spot for white cars and white wheels - I have an 87 911 Targa white with white wheels and love the look.

I also know the pain of keeping those wheels clean and white! lol

By the way, customer MC20's should be arriving at local Maserati dealers. They are all spoken for I understand.

Still don't get why Continental went all Ferrari and sold their Maserati dealership.

Most North American Ferrari dealers are exclusive Ferrari now I believe.

Spotted a white/pearl Ferrari at Autosprint yesterday. Ok, that's not fair, I was picking up my 328 after a 45K mile major. First time driving it in January!

You know you're doing something right when your competition (Continental AutoSports) praises your work.

Maybe they followed the 80 20 rule and pitched the less profitable stuff. It looks like they pared down to just 3 brands, Ferrari, Honda and Toyota.

Lake Forest had Maserati, McLaren, Aston Martin, Lotus and dumped those, only keeping Koenisgsegg as kind of a speakeasy.

I think Ferrari is basically telling its dealers, "invest a ton of money to spruce up your dealership, dump the other brands, and then you'll have a better shot at getting decent allocations going forward." Seems like a lot (most?) dealers are doing the math and deciding it's worth it.

I remember seeing new Ferrari's languish on the showroom floors of Continental AutoSports and Lake Forest Sportscars in the early 1990's.

When demand is strong, it's easier to sell a stand alone marquee. Ferrari hasn't felt a real recession since they required their US dealers to go at it alone.

I have a feeling they are about to experience one soon.

    IMO

During one of my visits at Lake Forest I asked what was up with dumping McLaren.

The PC answer was we wish the new owners all the best with them.

From what I have seen since rebranding from LFSC to Lake Forest Ferrari, great move.

As micor pointed out, allocations is the reward.

Then they get to bring more late model cars in trade and have more highly profitable used car inventory to sell.

Add Classiche cars to the menu at the store, another win.

I am not convinced about the economic downturn.

The Fed can talk rate increases, but when stuff slows down he will be back to the stimuli stiff.

The folks who made a lot of coin the last couple of years still want toys and its hard to imagine covid really being out of our hair for the next 3-5 years so cars give us recreation.

Saw around 5 camouflage suvs in Elgin on Friday. They were small to mid size. And appear to have high brake lights next to lift gate

One of my friends just finished this one up himself. He is a top mechanic and loves Alfa's. The car started the restoration as a rust free example.
