What wheels? Did you assess the weight and weight distribution of them? I am looking for a performance set for my F430. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Holy cow! Beautiful spec’d car. That cream interior is amazing. Factory 6 or converted? I’m considering a conversion if I sell my 348. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Thanks Jake, I appreciate it, the interior is actually sabbia (sand) but the lighting is making it look a bit lighter, It’s a factory 6, I’m the original owner and spec’d it out. Don’t think you can go wrong converting, I’ve owned and driven many manuals (and currently also own a Porsche 996 turbo with a short shift kit) and the 430’s is easily the best. And there’s just nothing like the ‘clank’ ‘clank’ of the metal gate.
Thank you for sharing. Good to hear. I’m concerned about the power, but I think it’s about the max to enjoy a manual. Dude, fantastic job on that car’s specs. Really cool seeing such a unique and beautiful f430. It’s awesome that you spec’d it yourself and made it not red/tan or dark/dark like most. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Thanks! Honestly, I just copied what I liked, I saw TDF Blue on other’s cars and fell in love with it. Similarly, I powder coated the wheels gunmetal gray after seeing it done by others. I wouldn’t be too concerned about the power, the car handles it perfectly fine - it really is a joy to drive.
Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Just finished it today. AP headers, Top Speed sport cats. S-Line exhaust and titanium heat shields, Exotic Car Gear air boxes. DEI titanium heat wrap, and ceramic coated the whole exhaust system inside and out. MASE tune too. I don’t recommend Exotic Car Gear air boxes as the fitment was terrible. They’re stuck on there and I’m afraid they may not be seated right. I will smoke test them. I consider them junk and will need to take off the MAF to get them out. I had to drill out a couple holes on the right one to get it to even seat as the dimensions were poor. I cracked my MAF housing outer lip trying to get them off.
@JM280z that looks utterly fantastic, that shielding approach should make a huge difference FYI, I just got new MAF's yesterday and will be installing them at some point You're welcome to take one of the ones I'm removing if you want to replace the housing on the one with the cracked lip, just PM me for deets They appear to be in good shape.
Thanks! The Mirrors are the 360 GT mirrors from exotic auto recycling, I guess they're probably pretty much the same from all the vendors. They are asymmetric, the driver is higher than the passenger, they state this is how the stradale is set up. Visibility is terrible, the Drivers one cannot point down low enough to see the road or cars. I cracked the glass trying to Push it down far enough. Ended up replacing with a large wide angle convex mirror. Fitment is OK, the entire inside door card has to come off to mount them
Taken on Sunday...heading out for an early morning drive. Love this high mileage 5-footer! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just make sure they’re not too snug over the MAF before you put them on…. They’re harder to take off than put on so make sure they’re loosely snug like the originals. Also ensure the M5 bolts can go through the holes to the MAF prior to putting on and that all 4 mounting bolts line up. Take your time with it and you should be fine. Smoke test it after install to see if there is any induction around the seals Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
